I like playing this song.
I know I have a perverted mind; somehow, when I see the first line, I think of someone f@rting. My apologies. :-)

LOL, chef!
thanks for sharing the music sheet, andrea! though i'm rather surprised that the chord progressions aren't indicated. and the compiler clearly was lazy for not bothering to find out the composer and lyricist! that info is readily available online! i don't know if i have the music sheet with chord progression, but if i do, i'll post it.

thanks for sharing the music sheet, andrea! though i'm rather surprised that the chord progressions aren't indicated. Chord progression? Damn, I had better learn some music! Because of my limitations (near zero music theory etc.,) I can only play the main notes. More accurately, I learn to sing the song, and from there, I play the flute as though I am singing. Sigh, there is still so much out there I do not know... how am I suppose to go out into the sea on a rotten boat when I am old? My flute may not be able to cause massive waves and destroy the boat... (lets see how many people manage to pick up the reference

(lets see how many people manage to pick up the reference you don't need to learn to read music to make it, chef! seems you're doing just fine! i play piano, so it's just natural that i notice chord progressions. and i most certainly did not get your reference! the only story of an old man in a boat i know of went fishing and died from overexposure...

Oh dear, a bit too obscure. That was how Eastern Heretic, Huang Yaoshi wants to end his days. He will go out on a rotten boat, play his flute and use his internal strength to destroy the boat with him in it.

In addition to my work, I'm also a pianist and a guitarist (and I play flute too), but I must confess that I'm totally unable to play music according to the sheet you show. Of course, I'm able to play " by hear ", but I need " real " sheet, with " real " notes in order to play something new in order to be in the right tone and the right mode...
Are there any " real " sheets around for the series theme songs on the internet ?
Thanks for the answer.

Thanks for the answer. i googled--no luck. the only ones available are in the format you see above. i totally understand the difficulty you have with this format of musical score--the first time i encountered it, i was completely confused! but i did manage to figure it out! and while it may seem that there's no way that note duration can be denoted in this format, there is! the melody line for the theme is simple enough that you can figure it out playing by ear, definitely. but if you do choose to try and learn this format, it's really easy: the key is always noted at the top, and the "1,2,3"s correspond to the notes, in sequence, in the scale of that key. e.g., C major. 2, 3, 5, 4, 1 = D, E, G, F, C. numbers with dots below = notes below tonic; numbers with dots above = notes one octave above tonic.

Thanks for the informations. It is not that difficult to learn/get used to this type of scale. Heck, if I can manage, so can you.
