For those who are interested, this is an interview with Louis Cha, also known as Jin Yong.
It is in Mandarin, and I am too lazy to do a transcript. However I figure he came from a wealthy scholarly family, and was expelled from school once - he was defending a fellow student against some injustice - and was urged to drop out of another school, for similar reasons.
From his actions, I would thus surmise he is a "xia" in his own right.
The interview also tried to draw a paralled between Louis Cha, the prevailing politics and the characters Louis Cha was writing at that point in time.

Thanks a lot Chefying Admin you are most welcomed. Confession - I have not watched the whole interview though! I need to concentrate when I watch it to penetrate his Zhejiang accent.

Admin, I concur with siuyiu, is it not Canto-Mandarin. Since he was born in Zhejiang, I would presume this is a Zhejiang accent.

Found another clip on Jin Yong, this time his feelings on some of the more recent adaptations of his stories.
In this clip he preferred the TVB adaptation of his Return of the Condor Heroes starring Andy Lau. While he thought Liu Yifei as Xiao Long Nv in the Mainland China 2006 RoCH was beautiful, he felt the actress did not show much expression on her face for fear that she would not look pretty.
Meanwhile, Jin Yong felt that the male lead in the 2006 RoCH was too frivolous. Jin Yong as of the opinion that Yang Guo should be very respectful of Xiao Long Nv when they were in the Old Tomb, but in the adaptation, he was running around like a kid.
His comments on Lu Ding Ji - Deer and Cauldron, was very interesting. Jin Yong was of the opinion this book should not be deemed wuxia themed. He said this book was more a reflection of the society at that point in time.
Jin Yong said that wuxia theme should be more on helping people, but Wei Xiao Bao (lead character in Deer and Cauldron) was not into helping people, he was more into taking advantage of people, corrupting people, etc.

Wow!! interesting interview. Wait... --> Liu Yifei as Xiao Long Nv in the Mainland China 2006 RoCH was beautiful, he felt the actress did not show much expression on her face for fear that she would not look pretty. --> but she cried most of the time. Crying is an expression too. Actually I hate XLN portrayal as LYF cause she cried a lot. XLN didn't cry, she didn't express anything on her face too.

I can't find the ATV interview. I doubt it is on the internet. The second question is from jinyong.ylib.com.tw/lib/jynews33.htm. Transcript but no video. The last question, I can't trace it either. Why do you need the source when you don't read Chinese?
