Just like it's predecessor, the serial suffers from a lack of female characters. While there were only 2 in part 1, there are 3 here and 2 of them are killed off and 1 becomes a nun. Are the four agents supposed to remain single solving cases and not have love lives? However the 3 women here are all highly skilled, daring and beautiful. They tend to outshine the 4 agents as I look forward to them in many scenes. Marquis Zhuge is such a coward here I wished he was really killed off.
Xiao Zhuge is also very annoying, and why did ATV hire such an ugly actor for this role? Of all the four agents I enjoyed the scenes with Wu Qing and Tie Shou the most. I like Wai Pak as his fighting scenes are the best but why is no woman attracted to him here? Does he not need love like everyone else?
Yam Hei Bo is very pretty as Yin Mei Yee and I was shocked to learn halfway through the serial she is so highly skilled. She is a prostitute but only sells her talent and not her body. I have only seen the actress in here and in The Invincible Fortune Teller, I wonder why she wasn't more popular and in more serials? I will never understand why Wu Qing keeps rejecting her though, to the point she becomes a nun at the very end.
