The other day, I watched the Shaw Brothers film titled Perils of the Sentimental Swordsman 楚留香之幽灵山庄.
It starred Ti Lung as Chu Liu Xiang 楚留香, and he was dashing as ever. Loved his fighting performance. However, I remembered 幽灵山庄 (Ghost Mansion) from Lu Xiao Feng 陆小风, not Chu Liu Xiang 楚留香. Got me confused for a while.
I feel it was unfair of Shaw Brothers to get mix up these characters. Nothing wrong with Ti Lung acting in the character of Lu Xiao Feng.
Well, I suppose I could console myself that Shaw Brothers only mixed and matched Gu Long characters and stories. Imagine JinYong characters appearing in Gu Long stories!

Never watched this film. Sounds interesting though! LOL, yeah, can't imagine what would happen if GL characters mixed and matched with JY characters. Just imagine what would happen if Guo Jing met Li Xian Er or Feng SiNiang, or other GL's bitches

Admin GL's females would eat GJ alive if they ever met him! HR could never compete with the likes of them, LOL!

If I'm not mistaken and from what I remember (I watched this movie 2 or 3 years ago...), Perils of the sentimental swordsman is really a Lu Xiao Feng's movie and my guess is that the producers put the name of the sentimental swordsman in the title just to get a little more money since the two previous titles had had a big success...
