Well it seems like Xu has been quite busy this year with The Monk and this film. At least this film scored a Golden Horse for Best Action Choreography so I assume that the fighting is more watcher friendly this time compared to Xu's previous works. The film seems quite faithful to the story, though due to my recent schedule I guess it will be long before I get my hands on the film to confirm (hopefully it won't suffer the fate of "Arrow Arbitration", I still can't find even a pirated copy) . Xu also published a discussion on the choreography in the film《坐看重圍》(Sitting and Observing the Walls). A short summary of the short novel can be found in my thread here: wuxiasociety.freeforums.net/thread/426/hiding-behnd-blade-xu-haofeng

I watched this film last night. Hmm, what can I say? I think the film can do with better editing.
I feel there are plots within plots, but this is not quite clear; which plot came first, which came next?
I am also interested in knowing who is the puppet, and who is the puppet master.
Still, story aside, I quite like the fighting.
