through the years, whether via reading the books themselves or participating in forum discussions, we've picked up some facts and interesting trivia about LYS's stories. i thought it'd be nice to compile them into one handy thread. (*ahem*yenchin*ahem*) i'll just jot down some--please feel free to add whatever you want!
(1) the chronology of one series of books are as follows: Huanjian Qi Qingyuan (還劍奇情錄) --> The Wanderer Chronicles (萍蹤俠影錄) --> The Flower-Dispersing Heroine (散花女俠)

Esen Tayisi: Mongol prince of Oirat (AKA Kalmyks)
Peng Yingyu: founder of Red Turbans (Hongjin), Maitreya Buddhist Sect
Wang Zhen: eunuch of Ming court
Yu Qian: Defense Minister of Ming court
Zhang Shicheng: salt merchant who established dynasty “Great Zhou” in 1353 in Jiangsu Province; rival for power
of Zhu Yuanzhang
Zhengtong Emperor (Qizhen): 6th Ming Emperor
Zhu Yuanzhang: founding Emperor of Ming Dynasty

One-Armed Nun: Princess of Ming? Folklore...
Yu Niang: Also a folklorish character. Sometimes shows up in the "LSN assassinates Yongzheng" stories assisting
her.
