Many readers believe that Ah Fei is the son of Shen Lang and Bai Feifei, a legendary swordsman and the daughter of an evil villain in Wu Lin Wai Shi, I wonder why Ah Fei did not bear the surname -Shen- ? I don't think Xiao Li Fei Dao confirmed his roots, the novel doesn't talk much about his background, expect he grew up in wilderness, Can we verify his origin in other GL novels ?

Shen Houye in Cleansing Blood, Silver Spear was explicitly said to be Ah Fei's descendant, with the "Shen" last name, it clearly indicates that he is Shen Lang's descendant, and therefore Ah Fei was Shen Lang's son.

Yup very logical. If not why should there be a "Shen" member staying at Ye Kai house? If there is a "Shen" member at Ye Kai house, and if Ah Fei's is the father, then surely Ah Fei has the surname "Shen" too. If not how he have a son that is name "Shen" Cool lol sounds confusing^^;

but there isn't any solid proof, is it ? Gu Long didn't specfically say that Ah Fei is a "Shen" from Shen Lang and Bai Feifei

I believe GL never explicitly said that Ah Fei is Shen Lang's son, if you were to reread Xiao Li, there's some info about Ah Fei talking about his background, all of which were pointing toward Shen Lang and Bai Feifei, who retreated into a secluded place after Wu Lin Wai Shi.
Shen Hongye's story is another proof, as pointed by by Temujin and Yufeng already
The third evidence is Shen Lang and Bai Feifei did sleep together, thus the possibility of Ah Fei as their son is almost unquestionable per se.
