So I originally posted this story on the wrong thread. I'm not too good with forums and all. I really just hate searching through a bunch of forums.
Hey all, so I've been reading a lot of wuxia and xian xia novels for about two years now. This has gotten me interested in writing my own.
Let me know what you think. There will probably be changes throughout as I write this story. I'll be copy and pasting from word to this so there going to be errors.
SYNOPSIS
A boy wakes up and has no memory of himself, he see images of another person life and decides to pursue these images.
CHAPTER 1: DREAMS / MEMORIES?
Waking up at the base of a mountain, a 3 year old youth looked down upon his body as his neck ached. His figure was so scrawny he could see his rib cages and the bones on his fingers as he laid on a boulder looking down at his body. Each breath was harder than the last as thirst strangled his throat. The fact that the boy didn't know who he was was more precarious. He had the basic knowledge of how to speak and move only, beside those he knew of nothing else.
The boy struggled to move his body as their was no energy flowing through. He would gasp for air each time he made a movement, like it was the hardest thing in the world. The first instinct that came to mind was the need for food and water. The boy scanned his surroundings noticing that he was on a trail, at the base of the mountain with a forest across from him. Due to his hunger, he made his way slowly towards the forest and started eating the grass off the ground and bugs crawling nearby. Each bite was a struggle, as he couldn't produce the saliva to swallow, so the slimier the bug the better.
It was currently dusk and the boy had barely been able to put any sort of nutrition into his stomach. He still couldn't wear off the feeling of thirst, so he struggled forth to find a water source. The most basic instinct was in play and the boy didn't fear the possibility of being attacked by a wild animal within the forest. If a wild beast was to show up right now in front of the boy, he would probably count it as a blessing and just stare at it hoping it would die for him. With no knowledge of anything, but how to talk and his basic human instincts the boy was no better than a infant.
The boy's vision was blurry due to hunger and dehydration, but his body kept moving anyways. Soon enough, the boy tripped over something and fell flat on his face. His face was buried in a cool, slimy and tough feeling. The boy didn't even know what it was that he had fell upon, but the slimy feeling had made him thirsty. With his tongue sticking out, he licked at the slime with his eyes closed, not even attempting to get up. His body was so exhausted that all he wanted to do now was lick up every bit of that slime.
After licking what slime the boy could, he soon faded into the darkness. It wasn't long until the boy was woken up from a howl. The full moon hung in the sky glowing down on the boy through the cracks on the leafs. His body was shivering from the cold night and his instincts was telling him to keep moving due to the howl. The boy climbed over the object on the ground as he kept moving.
It didn't take long for the boy to move 50 m from the object on the ground, but it felt like forever for the boy. He heard the growls of wolves behind him. Fear seeped in and his pace quickened, but he wasn't moving that much faster than before. His body barely had the nutrition to sustain him. Although, his movements were slow the growls of the wolves were still off in the distance. With each breath, the growls got closer until it felt like it was right behind him.
Just as he felt the warm breath of the wolf behind his neck, he suddenly fell forward. It felt like he was stepping on air, the feeling was quick as his foot soon felt wet. He had fallen into a river and the current dragged his body downstream. With no energy to struggle, the boy could only leave his fate to the heavens. With no air, the boy's conscious started to fade while thinking, 'am I finally going to die?'
To die right now was better than to keep struggling for his life.
When the boy faded, he had dream that he was someone else, a boy of a small village at the base of a mountain. This boy's name was Xin Yan at the age of 5, he was the chief's son, Xin Jou. His best friends was Meng Lao and Lin Bao. Meng Lao was the same age as Xin Yan, while Lin Bao was one year younger. Meng Lao, was the son of Chief's slave while Lin Bao was the daughter of the chief's best friend, Lin Yu. Lin Yu had wanted to wed Lin Bao to Xin Yan, but Xin Yan's future was bleak, so Xin Jou had turned down the proposal.
The three children were playing in the courtyard of the chief's house. Xin Yan and Meng Lao were sparring as usual, while Lin Bao was observing and playing with the flowers next to the pond. Xin Yan was born with a horrible talent for swordsmanship and cultivation. Every time the two sparred, Meng Lao would always go easy on Xin Yan, not to embarrass him. Even though Xin Yan had no talent, he had preservation.
After seeing these scenes, the boy woke up to the sun burning into his eyelids. Miraculously the boy had survived and was washed up on a riverbed. After coughing up water, the boy started to gulp the river. Even though he had just drowned and somehow survived, it didn't stop his thirst. The feeling of water flowing down his throat quenching his thirst was the most amazing feeling in his short life. After drinking more than his fill, he crawled up onto the ledge of the river and fell back into a slumber.
The boy's dream was about Xin Yan again, but at the age of 16. Xin Yan was in a damp cave with a skeleton sitting next to a tomb in front of him. On the tomb was a mantra that Xin Yan was chanting non-stop. After chanting the mantra a few times, there was a sudden dark golden glow on Xin Yan's body. His body felt rejuvenated, this feeling was like he had just been reborn a new person. Xin Yan began to start laughing like a mad man.
"Haha... After 16 years on this planet, I have finally been able to cultivate a dantian!" "Father! Your son is no longer a failure!"
"What non-sense are you spouting out now!?" A soft voice came from behind Xin Yan.
Xin Yan turned his head and saw that the owner of the voice was Lin Bao, her movements were graceful as she approached and with a face that could seduce a god. The fat on her body were at all the right places making her look very seductive.
"Lin Bao, you won't believe it, but after 16 years of living with this cruddy body, I can finally cultivate a dantian! Haha... it is all due to this mantra behind me!" Xin Yan cheerfully pointed towards the tomb.
"What mantra?" Lin Bao showed a puzzled expression.
Xin Yan turned around and found that the skeleton and tomb had vanished.
The boy woke up again. He wasn't really sure what to make of the dreams he was having, but the thing that was pounded into his brain was the mantra, 'Everything is nothing; Nothing is everything!' Every time the boy said the mantra, he would feel a profound feeling that would course through his body. The boy soon became absorbed in the mantra and became lost in his sea of conscious. The boy only woke up from his trance when his stomach growled and it felt like there was a giant crater in his stomach.
The boy got up and started heading in the direction of the sun. There wasn't a sense of direction, he was just moving his body for the sake of staying alive. On the way the boy had been eating bugs and random plants to fill his stomach. Before he knew it, he had reached a dirt road. The boy was at a stand still, whether to keep walking straight or to follow the road. The boy looked left and right to try and see what was off in the distance, but all he could see was that to the left, there was a mountain and to the right there was endless road that curved off. After a few breathes of standing on the road the boy had decided to head towards the mountain due to the dreams he had.
The journey wasn't easy, it had taken him two full days to reach the base of the mountain. While resting, the boy would chant the mantra. The sense of feeling energized was his source of motivation. He also wanted to know what these dreams meant. If, he headed towards the base of the mountain there he might gain some sort of clue.
At the base of the mountain, all there was, was a trail leading up the mountain. To the boy's disappointment the boy decided to turn around. The boy was about to head off until he saw a girl that looked like Lin Bao in front of him. She was smiling towards him, he was puzzled as to what was going on.
"Young master, young miss, lets head back before we get scolded again." a voice complained behind him.
Turning around the boy saw Meng Lao. Just as the boy was about to say something, he saw a figure come out of the bushes. It was Xin Yan! "Don't be a wimp, Meng Lao! There still light out, we'll be able to make it home before dark." Xin Yan reprimanded.
"Xin Yan, it might be fine for you, but the last time we went out to play til night, Meng Lao's father beat him black and blue." Lin Bao reprimanded Xin Yan.
"Alight! Alright! Let's head back." Xin Yan said in defeat. There was no way Xin Yan could argue with Lin Bao.
Watching all of this had surprised the boy, he didn't know how these kids from his dream and turned out in front of him.
"Wait!" The boy shouted.
The three ignored the boy and ran into the woods. Watching this scene, the boy could only give chase. It was really too precarious as to how the boy had dreamt of these three and now they appear in front of him. The chase was harsh on the boy's body, but he wouldn't give up, they were the first people he had seen since he woke up on the mountain trail. It wasn't long until the boy lost sight of the three as they ran into the distance.
Panting the boy decided to keep heading in the direction the three boys had went. He couldn't forget about his hunger as it kept clawing at him, reminding him of his malnutrition. Even though the boy kept pushing his body, it finally gave out and the boy collapsed on the ground. Panting, he stared at the bugs crawling in the grass moving pass him. He moved his hand and grabbed a cockroach and shoved it down his throat. He couldn't careless as to what he put in his mouth, it was better than the feeling of hunger.
After having his fill with bugs, the boy got up again and started pursuing the three. It had taken him a full day of chasing and resting to move more than 1 km. It was worth it for the boy, as he finally arrived in front of a burnt down village. It was now dusk, as the boy stepped into the burnt down village. There wasn't a sign of life anywhere, it looked like it had been abandoned for years as most of the village was in ruin.
The boy kept walking anyways, the village had a familiar feel to it like he had been here before. He couldn't figure it out, but what would he know, he didn't even know who he was. He kept walking until he reached a burnt down gate, with the door hanging by one last bolt. The wall was already destroyed, but the gate was the last thing standing. On top of the gate was a plate with carved words "Xin."
After seeing the words "Xin" it had finally hit the boy, this was the manor he had seen in his dreams. He walked pass the gate and entered the courtyard. Although the manor was in ruins, it all felt too familiar. Once again the boy heard laughing from the right side of the manor.
"Xin Yan, you idiot! Everyone knows that you suck at swordsmanship! Why are you trying so hard?" A soft voice sounded out.
"One day, I'll show everyone that I can become an Immortal just like my father!" Another voice sounded out.
The boy started moving towards the sound of those voice with haste. His feet moved as fast as they could to see who it was. Just as he reached the corner, he saw Lin Bao and Xin Yan. Xin Yan was laying on his back panting with his wooden sword his his right hand.
"Everyone knows you can't cultivate too! Just give up!" Lin Bao refuted.
"Too give up is to give up on life! I will never give up! One day, I'll find a method." Xin Yan sat up and stared at Lin Bao with a serious expression.
"Hello!?" The boy shouted, but he was ignored by the two.
"Just give up young miss, young master is too stubborn for his own good. He'll realize one day." Another voice sounded out behind the boy.
The boy turned around and saw Meng Lao heading towards him. It looked like Meng Lao was looking right at the boy. The stare had given the boy a smile, as someone noticed him. Just as the boy was about to say something to Meng Lao, Meng Lao's figure walked right through the boy. The boy was surprised and turned towards the three and walked behind Meng Lao reaching for him. The boy kept trying to touch Meng Lao, but to no avail did he succeed.
"You should listen to Meng Lao, Lin Bao!" Xin Yan said with a giant grin. "Lin Bao knows me best!"
"Huhh... Dreams are meant to be dreams and just that." Meng Lao sighed.
The three started to fade after Meng Lao finished his sentence. Noticing this the boy attempted to grab hold of any one of the three. It was just too lonely for the boy. To no avail did the boy succeed. The figures soon vanished into thin air. The boy slump down on the ground, staring at the the location the three were just standing at.

CHAPTER 2: FOUNDATION
The next morning, the boy sat at the same spot he last saw the three kids. He waited there til dusk, not moving a inch, just waiting for the three to reappear. This continued for two nights, until the boy couldn't handle the hunger any longer. The last time he had any water was three days ago and was dehydrated. His facial skin was peeling and the boy had looked like a scar crow.
With what energy the boy had left, he got up and headed towards the village well. To his surprise the village well was still intact. The bucket's rope was worn out, but looked strong enough for a few fetch of water. The boy dropped the bucket into the well holding onto the rope, but to his surprise all he heard a clank sound followed with a small splash sound. Pulling out the bucket, the water was muddy and there was barely any water. The boy couldn't care less though, he was on the verge of dying from dehydration.
Going out towards the edge of the forest, the boy would eat leafs and grass. After eating to his fill, the boy would head back to the courtyard to wait. There was nothing in this world for the boy, but these dreams and hallucinations. While waiting, the boy would chant the mantra and go into a deep trance. Feeling the energy surge through the boy, he would direct it towards his stomach in hopes to fill his hunger somehow.
"Again!" Xin Yan shouted as he was thrashed by Meng Lao.
The two kept practicing their swordsmanship. Xin Yan was bruised all over as he would take a beating from Meng Lao. Xin Jou was sitting off to the side with Lin Yu, under the porch enjoying tea as they watched Xin Yan.
"Your boy has spirit, Xin Jou." Lin Yu praised.
"It's too bad he isn't able to cultivate though, otherwise combined with his determination, he would go far in this world." Xin Jou sighed.
"Your boy is already 10 years old now. You should start considering my proposal 9 years ago."
"Huhhh... I rather not ruin your daughter's future. She was born with one of the divine ability that could tame beasts."
"What does talent have to do with love though? For the past few years, those two have grown up quite close to each other. I'm sure Lin Bao would agree to marry Xin Yan." Lin Yu tried to persuade Xin Yan.
"Let us wait until they are at the age of marriage, before we decide." Xin Yan said.
"Huh?" The boy had nodded off while in his trance. He quickly scanned his surroundings to see if, he could see Xin Yan or any of the figures seen in his dream. To his disappointment, all he saw was the abandoned courtyard. The boy started to chant the mantra again, but this time the boy noticed that their was a whirlpool of lights within his sea of conscious when he closed his eyes It was spiraling and absorbing the light direct to the boy's body non-stop.
"Roar!" Just when the boy was observing this pool of light, a mountain lion approached.
The boy stared at the mountain with hunger. Normally humans would have their instincts tell them to flee, but the boy was different. He awoke with no memories with a body that was barely alive. If anything edible appeared before him, whether it was a mouse of dragon, the boy wouldn't fear. He boy stared at the mountain lion like it was his meal, sent from the heavens.
As the mountain lion approached, it was surprised that a infant wasn't scared of it, instead it had looked at with a gaze as if, it was the prey. The mountain lion became wary of the young boy and instead of taking a straight path towards the boy, it started to try and circle the boy to find a opening to strike. Even though the boy barely had any meat on it, his gaze was too terrifying for the mountain lion. As the mountain lion circled the boy, the boy just sat their staring at the mountain lion and turning his head to meet the mountain lion's gaze. The mountain lion couldn't take the pressure anymore and after getting behind the boy, since he didn't bother to turn his body around, the mountain lion decided to make his move.
The boy's head was turn to his left and was watching the lion out of his peripheral vision. When the boy noticed that the mountain lion decided to make his move, he just sat there in the same spot. Just as the mountain lion was 3 feet away from him with his claw ready to strike, the boy's body suddenly moved, it had vanished and reappeared at the mountain lion's right side. The boy didn't know what was going on himself, his body had unconsciously moved like it had a mind of it's own. The boy's hands turned in a spear and struck at the mountain lion's right eye. To the boy's surprise, it had penetrated the mountain lion's eye and his arm went elbow deep into the mountain lion's skull.
All of these actions had happen to quick for the boy to grasp what was going on. First was the dreams the boy would see, then it was the hallucination, and then his body moving on its own as it was natural. The boy couldn't understand it all, he was curious about his origins and why he was left for dead on the mountain side. Why was he so skinny and starved and what was this whirlpool that had formed in his sea of conscious. After pondering on these questions for awhile, the boy finally gave up and started to eat the lion out of hunger.
The boy had no method of cooking the beast along with the fact that, could he even cook the lion's meat? The boy started to dig through the mountain lion's skull for brain matter and stuffing it down his throat. This wasn't the first time he had this taste, it was his first night when he had tripped on the mysterious object and had licked that slim that his face fell upon. The boy had no idea of what it was he had tasted at that time, but now that he had tasted the flesh of a mountain lion, he could figure that it was something similar to what he was tasted his first night. He wasn't going to complain, to the boy, this taste was awesome, he hadn't eaten anything better before in his life.
Since the boy was only a 3 year old, the most it could eat was a third of the brain. He had no way of storing the remains, so the boy just left the corpse where it died. With his stomach filled now, it started to chant the mantra again while waiting for more dreams or hallucinations. It was quite the lonely life for a boy who was at the age of 3. The only warmth he had was when he would dream of Xin Yan's life.
The month went by and the boy had finally finished eating the mountain lion, with the nutriment of the mountain lion the boy's figure was more lively and he no longer looked like a scare crow. The boy hadn't encounter another dream about Xin Yan within the past month. The whirlpool within his sea of conscious had grew and the center of the whirlpool had condense into a sphere. With the sphere forming, the boy had felt that his strength had grew incredibly. To test his strength the boy walked over towards the edge of the village and struck a random tree with his fist.
After the impact, the tree shook for a second only and there was an imprint of the boy's fist on the bark of the tree. The boy didn't know where his strength fell, when it came to children his age, but compared to Meng Lao's and Lin Bao, his current strength was average compared to their strength from his dreams. The boy starting to think about his dreams and that usually when he had a dream, it was with Xin Yan and Meng Lao sparring. The boy suddenly decided to climb the tree and break off a branch and practice the moves Xin Yan would demonstrate. The boy squatted down in preparation to jump up and grab hold of the tree. Concentrating all of his strength towards his thigh and calf, the boy lift off with a burst. The boy had only thought he would jump no more than 1 feet off the ground, but to his surprise, he rose up 10 feet and slammed his head against a tree branch. Too dizzy from the impact the boy didn't even brace himself for the fall and landed on his back. The impact from ramming into the tree branch and fall knocked the boy unconscious.
The boy fell into another dream about Xin Yan.
"If one wants to become an deity, one must first cultivate the body. Only through vigorous training of the body is one able to establish their foundation." Xin Jou instructed Xin Yan.
"En." Xin Yan nodded.
"You will be able to sense when you start to reach your physical boundary. Once you have reached your boundary, you can started establishing your dantian. Your dantian is formed when all of the light in your sea of conscious becomes a translucent sphere. Just because you've neared your physical boundary doesn't mean that you should stop training your body though. You should always attempt to overcome your boundaries, only then you will truly go down the path of a deity." Xin Jou explained.
"Why can't i establish my dantian while cultivate my body at the same time, father?" Xin Yan asked.
"You can, but you will limit yourself in the future, as you will solely relay on your dantian and neglect your body. Those that cultivate their body before they cultivate their dantian have a higher prospect than those that only cultivate their dantian. Ones who cultivate their body before their dantian have a better sense of their body and control of it and it is also becomes stronger as you cultivate your dantian. So once you reach your limit for our physical boundary, you should start cultivating your dantian and this will make you 2x stronger than those of your level in the future. Cultivating the physical body then dantian is a lot harder and takes longer, but if you go down this road, one day you will stand above all deities." Xin Jou explained.
"Which route did you go father?" Xin Yan asked tilting his head to his side.
"Huhhh... all cultivators of this world, cultivate their dantian from the beginning, because this is what they have been taught. I once met a cultivator from another realm who was also at the Spiritual level, but I was utterly defeated. I later found out after becoming friends with him and found out that he was from the Intermediate realm, which is located between the heaven realm and ours. All cultivators believe that this is the only realm, but once I met this cultivator, he had opened my eyes towards a new world. Those of the intermediate realm and heaven realm cultivate their bodies first, which allow them to advance higher later in the stages of cultivating." Xin Jou sighed.
The boy's head felt dizzy and ached as the boy woke up. His slowly opened his eyes as the sun beamed down on him. He looked up at the branch and sighed. Slowly standing up the boy got into a squat again, but this time he was prepared. With a leap the boy flew 10 ft and grabbed on to a branch with a child's arm thickness.
After experiencing the dream, the boy had figured out that the sphere in his sea of conscious was a dantian and that he must now start training his body, before he destroys his foundation. The boy attempted to copy the movements that he had seen Xin Yan had practiced, but it was sloppy and after no more than 10 swings, his arms was exhausted. The boy was starting to understand the importance of establishing a solid foundation now as he experienced the exhaustion of his body with only a few swings of a branch. The boy had swung the branch until it became dusk. Just as the boy was about to end his physical training, he heard a explosion from the mountains. "Damn it! The guardian of this tomb is too strong!" A voice sounded out, it was soothing and whoever heard it would fall into a calm trance.
"Let's flee for now elder sister!" Another voice sounded out from the mountains, this one unlike the first one was high pitch and it felt like someone was clawing at the boy's ears.
Two figures shot out from a cave within the mountain and fled towards the base. To their surprise, the guardian didn't chase them at all. The two stopped mid-air and turned around looking towards the entrance of the cave in astonishment. The two figures were females, both of them had the image of a goddess as they floated in mid-air. Both females had their clothing destroyed in the fight earlier, revealing their smooth silky figures covered in their own blood with scratches all over.

Hey all, so there are typos and what not with this chapter. Don't let it bother you though.
CHAPTER 3: The Warmth of being Noticed
"Elder sister Yang Bao, the guardian isn't chasing us..." The high pitch voiced female said in surprise.
"Junior sister Li Mei, let's not ponder on this too much and first recover. Yang Bao recommended.
Turning around the two females landed their eyes on a ruined village at the base of the mountain. They didn't remember seeing this village when they had first entered the mountain range. Although the village was destroyed, it was better than recovering in the opening of the mountains. Both goddesses made their descent onto the village. On their decent they spotted the boy standing staring at them eye's wide open.
The boy hadn't seen anyone since he had woken up with no memories. His only company was the dreams and hallucinations of Xin Yan's life. The one thing he yearn for the most was interaction. Watching the scenes of Xin Yan life had creating a sense of wanting to be noticed. The reason why the boy had stayed in the village for so long, was he didn't know of anyone else or anything else, but these dreams of Xin Yan. If he could, he would have already left long ago towards civilization, if he knew there existed other villages and cities, instead of staying in the burnt down village.
"Elder sister, Li Mei, isn't that the boy we saw lying dead when we came to this mountain range?" Yang Bao asked.
"Hmmm..." Li Mei involuntarily furrowed her eyebrows and tried to remember the boy, they had seen at the base of one the of mountains when they had first arrived to hunt for treasures. They had noticed the boy lying there as if he was abandoned by his parents to die. It wasn't uncommon in this world, when families couldn't afford to feed their children, they would always send their youngest away to die in a remote location.
"Elder sister, oh my, it is!" Yang Bao shouted in excitement.
"It couldn't be, the boy was dead when we found him. This child has more meat on him than that child." Li Mei defended.
"No, elder sister, I'm sure it is him!" Yang Bao quickly flew down towards the boy.
Involuntarily the boy had a giant smile on his face, he himself didn't know that he was smiling right now. The fact that these two goddesses had noticed him was enough right now. Even though Yang Bao's voice was annoying to the ears, it was better than being alone.
"Little boy, what is your name?" Yang Bao asked.
"..." The boy stood there without an answer. Even he didn't know his own name, so how would he be able to answer this question out of nowhere? He just kept staring at Yang Bao.
"Child, how did you survive? When we found you a few days ago you were dead. How is it that you are alive and well right now?" Yang Bao continued to question the boy.
"You're probably scaring the boy right now." Li Mei landed next to Yang Bao. As she landed she extended her arms and bent down rubbing the boy's head.
"That's mean to say! Why would a child be afraid of me?" Yang Bao defended.
"First of all your voice." Li Mei teased.
As soon as Yang Bao heard those words, she grew in fury. Just as she threw out a punch she shouted, "How dare you make fun of my voice! Although, you are my senior sister, I wouldn't forgive you time after time for making fun of my voice."
It was quite common that Li Mei would tease Yang Bao about her voice. Although Yang Bao was beautiful, once she opened her mouth, she would scare any men away. For that fact alone, she had been single for her 19 years of life. Yang Bao kept throwing punches while Li Mei easily dodged and fled from her punches. Li Mei would laugh with each evasion of Yang Bao's punch. Before long, Yang Bao had worn herself out, they both were still damaged with their fight with a guardian beast earlier so this fight had taken a toll on her. Heavily panting, Yang Bao decided to give up, she knew she could never beat Li Mei anyways.
The boy just stood there the entire time watching the two with a giant smile on his face. It was quite awkward, but it looked cute as he was only a 3 year old child. The two goddesses had forgotten that the boy had even existed, as they bickered at each other.
"Xin Yan..." The sudden voice shut the two up as they looked at the boy.
"What did you say?" Yang Bao asked.
"My name is Xin Yan." The boy answered.
Truthfully the boy just decided to take upon the name of Xin Yan, because he didn't have a name of his own. Since he kept seeing images of Xin Yan's life and didn't have memories of his own, he finally took on Xin Yan's name.
"Xin Yan, how did you survive?" Yang Bao interrogated.
"... I don't know... all I remember was waking up at on a mountain trail." Xin Yan replied.
"See! I told you senior sister! This is the boy we found that day." Yang Bao scream in excitement for being correct.
"Shove it!" Li Mei wasn't pleased that she had been wrong, but she was still surprised that this boy that they had found was alive. He didn't have a pulse when they found him a few days ago. His complexion was looking better and didn't look like a scare crow anymore.
"Xin Yan, can you tell us where this is?" Yang Bao tried to make her voice sound as sweet as possible, but it still sounded like someone was clawing at Xin Yan.
"..." Xin Yan searched his memories and replied, "This is Dragon village." The reason it was called Dragon village was that there used to reside a Thunder Dragon within the mountain range.
"Dragon village..." Yang Bao thought for a moment. "I don't remember there ever being a village called Dragon village."
"It should have been before our time, it looks like it was razed in a war. Let's not ponder on this any longer and recover first." Li Mei commanded.
"En. Little Xin Yan, can you protect us sisters while we mediate?" Yang Bao attempted to sound sweet again.
Xin Yan nodded his head in agreement with a smile. He didn't know why but it felt good being able to protect these two goddesses. He felt needed for the first time since he woke up. The feeling of warmth flowed through him like a tidal wave, surging through to his bones. His smile became bigger as he watched the two females clothed themselves in front of him and began mediating. The two weren't the least embarrassed in front of a 3 year old as they were pretty much naked and dressing themselves.
It was now dark as the sun and sunk behind the mountain to the west. Xin Yan had taken the fur from the mountain lion and made a cover for him for the cold nights. Xin Yan under the mountain lion's fur looked out in high alert guarding the two goddesses as they mediate. Xin Yan was tired and had started nodding off as his physical body couldn't bear the strain anymore. Yang Bao opened her eyes and glanced at Xin Yan with a smile, deciding to cast a barrier around Xin Yan's body. Being assault with this warm feeling, Xin Yan fell into a deep sleep. "Senior sister, how about we take this boy back with us to the Sect?" Yang Bao asked.
"Huh... you know we can't. Our Sect is purely of females. The only thing we can do for this boy is leave behind a life saving charm. If fate has it, he will grow up living a decent life, if he heads south towards the Capital, Chun." With those words, Li Mei flung her wrist and out appeared a talisman with a note for the boy.
"The guardian beast had to at least been at the Pinnacle realm, otherwise we wouldn't have been wounded so badly. Let us go get Elder Yu Li to deal with this beast."
"Hopefully this boy is still alive by then or have moved towards Xi." Li Mei said dejectedly.
The two glace at each other and took off towards the sky. They vanished in the middle of the night only leaving a talisman and note for Xin Yan. As the night grew on, the barrier around Xin Yan faded and the cold night seeped through. With the warmth of the mountain lion's fur, Xin Yan was kept warm to a certain degree that he didn't wake up once the night chill struck him. Xin Yan slept comfortable through the night dreaming about the two goddesses.
At the crack of dawn, the sun penetrated Xin Yan's eyelid waking him up. The first thing he searched for was the two goddesses. When he didn't see the two he quickly jumped up in fright. He ran around the village hoping that they might have just went to grab a meal. Xin Yan ran around until noon, when he failed to find the two goddesses, he made his way back to the courtyard. There he noticed a talisman in the shape of a sword and a note.
'Xin Yan, sorry we took off without saying goodbye, but we can't take you back with us to our Sect. We have left to bring one of our Elders to deal with the guardian beast. We don't know when we will return, so we provided you with a talisman and map. If you break the talisman it will send out a sword wind blade at your opponent. The map will on the back of this note will guide you to the nearest city, the Capital of Chu kingdom, Chun.'
Xin Yan flipped the note around and there was a quickly drawn map on the back. It pretty much told Xin Yan to head south from the sloppy drawing. He could see that if he went south, he would soon find a road and follow it east until he ran into the Capital, Chun. Xin Yan felt regret that he had fell asleep, if he had stayed up and guarded to two like he was supposed to. Maybe, just maybe he could have accompanied them part way. It was at least better than this lonely feeling that ate at his heart.
Xin Yan stared off into the horizon with tears flowing down his cheeks as he wished he could see the two again. The only two people he had met so far had abandoned him, like how his parents had abandoned him to die on the mountain. His only friend was the dreams and hallucinations of Xin Yan's life.
"Father... don;t worry about me, I have Meng Lao and Lin Bao by my side. They are more than enough to protect me." A voiced sounded towards the southern part of the village.
Xin Yan directed his eyes towards the figures off in the distance noticing that it was Xin Yan and his family. When Xin Yan caught hold of these figures, his body started running as fast as he could, so he wouldn't lose these figures too. Although, these hallucination couldn't see him, they had already become a part of his life. Now that he had taken on the name of Xin Yan, it felt like it was his life too.
"Yan'er, I know that you want to travel the world in hopes of one day being able to cultivate, but if one day you lose hope... there is always Dragon village waiting for you. Here you can live as a mortal and have children. There isn't anything wrong with settling down as a mortal, Yan'er." Xin Jou explained.
"... I know father. But now that I am 15, If I don't do this, I will regret it for the rest of my life." Xin Yan explained.
Xin Jou nodded his head at his son and looked toward Meng Lao, "Meng Lao, I'm sorry to have burden you with this task of accompanying my son. I have more than enough faith in you since I have personally trained you both since you were children."
"Uncle Jou, I will make sure to repay your kindness. Although I am of lowly birth, you have treated me as your own son and imparted me with ways to cultivate. It would be an honor to keep young master safe." Meng Lao saluted.
"Uncle Jou, don't worry, I'll be there to protect this nuisance." Lin Bao sweetly said as she lean towards Xin Yan with her hands behind her back.
Xin Yan rolled his eyes and turned to leave, "Father I'm off!" Xin Yan waved his hand as he walked away.
"Uncle Jou, bye!" Meng Lao and Lin Bao said quickly as they sprinted behind Xin Yan.
For some reason, Xin Yan (the boy) started sprinting after them. He didn't want to be left behind, there was a sense of attachment to these three that he couldn't understand. Xin Yan followed the three as they chat about their destinations and how they planned to survive in the outside world. Xin Yan made sure to listen attentively towards the conversation not to miss a single piece of information of their destinations. Xin Yan (the boy) had started wanting to actually become this Xin Yan (hallucination) that he watched; after all he did take on his name.

Wasn't too sure about the title of the chapter. Wasn't sure if I should call it betrayal instead.
CHAPTER 4: BITTERNESS
Xin Yan (hallucination) and his group reached soon reached the road. Their plans was to first head to the Capital, Chun. While at Chun, they had planned to stock up on essential supplies for their journey. There wasn't a set destination, they would first head to a pub to gather information on any heaven defying locations. Those were their main targets, as Xin Yan planned to find some method to allow him to cultivate a dantian.
The group turned towards the east and started walking towards the Capital. No more than 5 ft after they started walking, their figures started to fade and soon disappeared. Xin Yan (the boy) sighed as he watched their figures vanished. He knew that if he wanted to see what happened next, he must follow their path. Without any hesitation, Xin Yan also started walking towards the Capital.
The time that had once took Xin Yan to travel 1 km only took him a candle's time to burn. With the nutrition Xin Yan has been able to put into his body compared to when he had first woken up, his strength had greatly increased. Although he was still 3 years old, his strength was comparable to a teenager. Establishing his dantian had greatly increased Xin Yan's strength, but his physical endurance wasn't that great. Xin Yan understood that, if he neglected his physical training and continued to absorb the energy of the world, his future would be limited.
Along the path Xin Yan reached the location where he originally came out of when he had drowned. The location had been engraved into Xin Yan's memories as there was a tree that had fallen into the middle of the road. The tree only covered up half of the road, and a carriage was still able to get through. Xin Yan stared at the location for a few breathes time, ingraining every bit of detail into his memory. Xin Yan didn't want to forget anything, since he had woken up with no memories of his own.
During Xin Yan's trip, it soon became dusk. Just as Xin Yan was about to look for a spot to set up camp for the night, figures started to appear in front of Xin Yan. It was Xin Yan's (hallucination) group.
"Young master, let's find a location to set up camp soon, we still have a long ways until we reach Xi.
"Let's continue on for a bit more, it shouldn't be hard setting up camp. If I remember correctly the map said there should be a river up ahead. We can set up camp there."
"Sounds good! Let's hurry up!"
The three started to hasten their pace, as they still needed to gather their dinner and set up camp. Xin Yan (the boy) was shocked that they reappeared so quickly, he wasn't expecting another appearance until he had neared the Capital. The three went about to gather the necessary items to start a fire and set up camp for the night. When Xin Yan (the boy) followed Lin Bao of Meng Lao, after walking a certain distance their figures disappeared. This confirmed that these hallucinations were based off Xin Yan.
After each of them ate a roasted river bass (even the boy), they sat around the camp fire talking about their dreams. Xin Yan's (hallucination) was obvious as he planned to become an expert like his father. Lin Bao, she wanted to get accepted into the Mist Maiden sect, it was a sect all made up of women; this was the sect that Yang Bao and Lei Mei belonged to. Meng Lao wanted to create a name for himself and one day break free of his fate as a servant's son. Xin Yan (the boy) pretended to talk to them as though he was part of the group, he had told them he wanted to find his memories and why he was abandoned at the mountain trail.
Once the fire died, they all went to sleep. Xin Yan thought they would fade away as usual, but he saw that all three figures still remained as they laid down. Xin Yan was quite stun at what was going on. After the last bit of light emitted from the fire pit, the sound of foot steps could be heard. Lin Bao and Meng Lao had gotten up and started walking a bit off to the side. Their actions were suspicious as they both headed in the same direction.
Xin Yan (hallucination) also got up after waiting for a few breaths. He started to follow their steps into the night along Xin Yan (the boy). After walking about 40 meters away from camp, Xin Yan (hallucination) stopped and hid behind a tree, seeing this action Xin Yan (the boy) also hid behind the very same tree. The suddenly heard two voices in the distance, they were quiet but he could still make out what was being said.
"Meng Lao, we should stop this."
"Why!? We can finally show our affection towards each other openly, why must we stop?" Meng Lao said angrily.
"You know why." Lin Bao said full of sorrow.
"Who cares if your father wants to marry you off to Xin Yan. We can run away together."
"My father would find me no matter how hard I run."
"It doesn't matter, you love me don't you?"
"... Yes, I do, but..."
"I love you too, let's not think about it any further."
The sound of kissing and moaning could be heard from the woods as Xin Yan (hallucination) turned around and quietly made his way back to camp. The fake Xin Yan followed suit, as he was feeling disgusted at the two. He didn't know why but these feelings suddenly overwhelmed him, it was a feeling of sympathy mixed with disgust. Words flowed through Xin Yan's (the boy) head.
"I've always known that they had feelings for each other. huh... the cruel fate."
"Although they are both my best friend and I should be happy for them and support their love, why is it that I feel hatred and disgust?"
"I wanted to travel on this journey alone, but I knew when the both of them offered to join, I just knew it in my heart it wasn't for pure intentions."
"Should I just take off in the middle of the night? My original plans was never to have the two come along with me... huh... forget it. I'll just go back to sleep."
Xin Yan, both of them laid back down in their sleeping bags and stared up in the night sky. The luminous stars that hung in the sky, they both reached out to grasp it in their hands. The feeling of powerlessness flowed through as they both feel just how small they are in this universe. One day, they will both shine bright like the stars and travel the endless universe. They only lived in the outer realm, there was still the middle realm and inner realm that had to be explored.
In the morning when Xin Yan woke up, the three figures were gone. He could only sigh and continue to move along. Xin Yan knew that the two had came back, due to one of his dreams, when Xin Yan was in the cave, Li Bao had shown up beside him. The journey east was going to be a boring one, but on the way he would stop to set up camp and train his body and the sword techniques Xin Yan (hallucination) had used. After two months of training his endurance had gotten better along with his movements for the technique. It took him one whole month, but Xin Yan finally reached Chun.
Chun was a three layered capital, meaning it had three giant walls surrounding the Castle. The castle was located in the center and the city was built around the castle. Outside the inner wall to the castle was where the nobility and rich lived. Outside the middle was was the businesses and the middle class civilians. Outside the outer wall with no protection was the poor and shady business and vendors trying to make a living.
To go beyond the outer wall there was a fee you had to pay, it was 50 silver and beyond the middle wall was 1 gold. There was a 15% tax on the business outside of the walls and a 20% tax to any business inside the walls. Many of the business would have their main headquarters inside the walls and open shop outside of the walls so that they can evade the 20% tax rate and only be charged 15%. Outside of the walls was booming with more people and business than the ones inside the wall. It didn't matter as inside the wall, the businesses that were able to survive were all high end businesses that one sale would bring in over 10 gold coin a purchase.
"Xin Yan, your father gave you enough gold right?" Lin Bao asked.
"He gave me over 100 gold for this journey."
"Let's skip the outside and head towards inside the wall for a place to stay. I bet the food there are delicacies we've never eaten before, just like in the stories our fathers used to tell us." Lin Bao said in excitement.
"Alright, I remembering my father mention the Tigers Den, it is a famous tavern for mercenaries." Xin Yan said.
Xin Yan (the boy) followed the three towards the gates and was stopped by the gate guards.
"Boy, can you not see the line? If you want to enter the Capital, you need to wait in line."
Xin Yan stared shocked at the guard, he looked back and there was a line of more than 50 people waiting to go through. He had seen Xin Yan (hallucination) flash a crest and kept walking, he was confused as to what had happened. The figures were starting to become distant and Xin Yan needed to catch up, he ran and tried to evade pass the guard, but was knocked on his ass.
"Boy, this is your last warning, if you keep this up, don't think I won't throw you in the dungeons. Now get in line!" The guard commanded.
Xin Yan couldn't do anything but get in line. He was powerless to do anything else. The people all stared as him as he headed towards the back of the line. Xin Yan was wearing the lion's fur, it was all tattered and worn out from the long journey. He had looked like a barbarian child to all of the people as he got in the back of line. The city had no shortage of homeless children that constantly robbed the vendors. Many of them looked at him with disgust, thinking that he might have pick-pocketed them once and now he is planning to pickpocket someone else within the walls.
Xin Yan couldn't understand their stares of disgust at him, but he felt a feeling of anger swelling up in him. He didn't know where this feeling was coming from, but he was sure it was the same when he had heard Xin Yan's (hallucination) voice in his head and then was overwhelmed with feelings. Xin Yan's little eyes glared at the peoples as if he was ready gouge out their eye balls if they kept staring at him. Some people were shocked that this little boy could give off such a stare, but in the end they weren't afraid as he was just a 3 year old boy.
It was now the afternoon and Xin Yan had waited for two whole hours. He had finally reached the guard that had told him to go back of the line. Xin Yan gave the guard a evil glare as he stood in front of the guard. The guard had no idea what this little boy's problem was to glare at him so attentively. Xin Yan was angry that he had lost the three's figure due to this guard.
"Boy, stop staring at me! Hurry up and pay so that you can move along." The guard said annoyingly.
"..." The boy couldn't really understand what the guard had meant, so he stood and looked at him in silence.
"Boy, stop messing around! There are people behind you who wish to get into the walls before dusk! Don't think that I won't kick you out of the line!"
Xin Yan still couldn't grasp what the guard had meant, so he decided to walk through the gate. Just as he was about to pass the guard, he threw his arms out blocking Xin Yan's path.
"Boy! This is the last time I am warning you! Pay up or get the FUCK out of my line!"
"What do you mean pay?" Xin Yan finally broke his silence.
"Boy, are you FUCKING WITH ME!? GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE AND DON'T LET ME SEE YOU AGAIN!" The guard proceeded towards Xin Yan and grabbed him by the neck and tossed him into a small mud pit. Xin Yan stared at the guard as he was ignored. He was lost as what the guard had meant pay up. He remembered that Xin Yan (hallucination) had presented a crest and just kept walking. There was also talking about having 100 gold on him. With no memories, but the few images that Xin Yan received from his dreams and hallucinations, he didn't understand how modern society worked.

So, if you guys didn't know I have another novel out called Nameless, because I don't have a name for it yet. forum.wuxiaworld.com/discussion/3265/nameless#latestAs usual, copying from word to this so there is errors and what not. Leave a comment and let me what you guys think. 5. KNOWLEDGE
Xin Yan knew, he had to get up to speed on the knowledge of this world. He had no clue what gold was or the crest that was presented by Xin Yan (hallucination). The only problem was that, he didn't know where he could go to obtain these information. Xin Yan mustered up his courage and walked up to a traveler waiting in line. "What is pay up?" Xin Yan asked the traveler. "... boy don't bother me, if you're looking for a free hand out, you best get a long." The traveler though Xin Yan was a beggar. "Free hand out?" Xin Yan tilted in head in confusion. "Haha... you guys sure have a new tactic of begging. Get lost!" The traveler yelled. "What is gold?" Xin Yan didn't bother giving up at all in his barrage of questions. "Boy, get lost!" The traveler kicked Xin Yan to get rid of him. Xin Yan stared angrily at the traveler, feeling like he had been wronged. What was the big deal with asking questions? Xin Yan didn't have too much knowledge and when he tried asking, he was treated as a pest. Xin Yan could only try and sneak inside of the walls, but the only problem was that the guards were always paying attention. "Hey kid." a boy's voice sounded from behind in a quiet whisper. "..." Xin Yan stared at a boy who was about 5 inches taller than him, he wore a tattered shirt that barely covered his upper body and pants where the sleeves have been torn up and was dirty. "I saw that you wanted to go through the gate earlier, what if, I was to tell you that I could get you through?" the boy said. "You know how, I can get through?" Xin Yan asked. "Yeah, all you have to do is, throw this stone as hard as you can at that guard with the silver helmet." The boy lied to Xin Yan "Silver helmet?" Xin Yan looked confused. "... you see that man over there?" the boy pointed his finger towards the guard captain, who was sitting behind a wooden table comfortably collecting coins. "En." Xin Yan nodded. "Okay, just throw this rock as hard as you can, once the guards notice you, just run as fast as you can in a circle and make your way back here." Xin Yan nodded in silence, pretending he understood everything that child just said. The child gave Xin Yan a rock and whispered directions into his ears before setting off. Xin Yan didn't understand how this would allow him to get through, but he figured the child must be telling the truth. Xin Yan mustered all the strength into his right arm and aimed the rock at the guard captain. Like an arrow leaving its bow, he threw the rock with all of his might. The rock flew straight at the guard captain's face; the guard captain was no novice and sensed the incoming danger. Xin Yan was quite strong for his age, but he was only a three year old, how much strength can a three year old produce. The guard captain easily tilted his head to the right and the rock flew pass his face, grazing his cheeks. When the guard captain noticed that Xin Yan had drew blood, he immediately got into a uproar. "SEIZE THAT BOY!" The guard captain roared. On the command, the guards at the gate all rushed towards Xin Yan, hoping to be the first one to capture him and gaining the guard captains favor. The boy had told him to run in a circle, but he didn't specified how big of a circle, so Xin Yan ran around the crowd. After running around some people and pissing the guards and people waiting in line off, he made his way to the gate. Sadly, it wasn't anything like the boy had meant and the guard captain blocked his path with a evil grin on his face. The guard captain hated the street rats, as they were always causing trouble at the gates trying to get through. "Your finished boy!" The guard captain made a motion with his finger running it across his neck. Xin Yan tried to evade the guard captain and move around him, but he wasn't lucky enough and was easily captured by the guard captain. "Sir, we caught another boy who was trying to use the disturbance to sneak in. I suspect they are working together." "Throw them into the dungeons!" "Yes sir!" "Just wait til I have time to get my hands on you boy!" The guard captain said, as he glared Xin Yan. The guards dragged Xin Yan and the boy away going inside of the Capital walls. Although, they didn't succeed in sneaking in, they did in the end, made it through the gate. The wall was 10 m thick, with multiple gates in between to stop any invaders, if they were to breach the first gate. The entrance gate and exit gate were wooden gates with iron supports, in between the entrance and exit were drop gates. On the other side of the wall was a city totally different from the one outside. The streets inside of the wall were paved in different colored stone bricks, in a zigzag pattern with candle street lamps on the sides. Along the street was flowers and trees that were maintained by gardeners. The buildings were constructed with wood and painted instead of the plain wooden shacks outside of the wall. The majority of the people were groomed and their clothing were made of silk with designs. You'd see a few mercenaries walking around, but the armor and weapons they carried differed from the ones that walked outside of the wall. Xin Yan was being pushed by the back of his neck as the guard continued inward towards the dungeons. He was able to glance around, as he was moved towards the dungeon. The entire time, he searched for Xin Yan's (hallucination) figure. He noticed that where ever the guards walked, the crowd would make a path for them. As they walked closer towards the second city wall, there was a giant building made of granite, it was the dungeons. Underneath first floor was a 5 floor system, depending on your crime, was were you were placed; above was the Soldier barracks for the outer wall guards. The guard opened the 8 ft iron entrance door leading into the dungeons and threw Xin Yan towards the receptionist. The other guard follow suit and threw the boy right into Xin Yan, slamming right on top of him. Xin Yan felt that he had been wronged, but what could he do at this point, he was guilty for throwing the stone at the guard captain. "Throw these two into the first floor dungeons, Captain Lee will personally take care of them later." "Yes Sir! Men drag these two into cell 66." The receptionist commanded. At the receptionist's command two men appeared from behind a curtain door and walked towards the two grabbing them by the neck and dragging them into the dungeon. The two gate guards sighed as they walked went back to duty. The first floor dungeon wasn't too bad, the conditions were decent, the floor was hard but at least there was a hay stack as a bed. Cell 66, was far down the hall, they had to make multiple turns before reaching the cell. Each cell, was blocked off by iron bars with a iron bar gate. A long the way, prisoners were shouting and hollering at the two inmates. "Get in there!" The prison guards threw the two into their cell, locking the gate behind them. "O yeah! we got us some fresh meat here boys! They're little babies that are still breast feeding off their mamas breasts." A prisoner shouted down from them. "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" The prison guards reprimanded. Xin Yan stood up and stared at the boy awkwardly. He felt that he had been wronged by this boy, but he didn't know why, so Xin Yan just stared at him. The child stood up and brushed himself off, before staring back at Xin Yan. "What!? Your blaming me!? It's your fault for being stupid enough to believe me. Still, you did a horrible job, you couldn't even distract the guards long enough that I could sneak in." "..." Xin Yan stared at the boy. "What!? You got a problem!?" The boy raised his fist into the air trying to intimidate Xin Yan. "..." Xin Yan continued to stare at the child awkwardly. "Stop staring at me!" The child turned around and walked towards a hay stack and laid down in retaliation to Xin Yan's stare. "What is gold...?" Xin Yan asked. The child turned around and stared at Xin Yan puzzled. He couldn't believe that Xin Yan was still asking questions about the world's monetary system. He stared at the clothing Xin Yan wore, it was a lion's fur. Did this boy grow up in the jungles? He wasn't sure if Xin Yan was serious or just dumb. "You don't know what gold is?" The boy asked. Xin Yan nodded. "You're not joking with me?" The boy couldn't believe Xin Yan's answer. Xin Yan nodded again. "How did you survive up til now?" "..." Xin Yan stared at the boy. "Don't you have parents?" Xin Yan shook his head. The child just stared at Xin Yan dumbly. "I'm Lee Ye, 7 years old, you are?" "Xin Yan." The two had a long discussion about the current world and its affairs. Xin Yan had learned that he resided in the kingdom of Chu and the capital was called Chun. To the south was the Wu kingdom, to the east was the Yin kingdom, north of Yin was Wei and to the east of Yin was Tsu. The currency was 100 copper coins = 1 silver coin, 100 silver coins = 1 gold coin, 100 gold coin. He learned that Chun had three walls protecting the castle. Through each gate, the area was more extravagant than the last. The two chatted into the night, when the prison guard had came to deliver their meal. It didn't look edible at all, as it was all a mush and had a smell of feces. The flies were mostly attracted to the food and was devouring it on their behalf. Xin Yan didn't really care though, he dug right in, his primal instincts was still in play and he needed food to survive. It had actually been a few days, since he had his last meal. The last thing Xin Yan ate was the leaves and berries out in the woods before walking into the Capital. Lee Ye looked at Xin Yan in disgust, he couldn't believe his eyes right now. The smell was too gruesome for him, so he couldn't stomach the thought of taking a bite. Xin Yan ate the flies that got caught in the goo that was called food. After finishing his plate, Xin Yan stared at Lee Ye with a longing gaze. Lee Ye could automatically guess what the gaze had meant, Xin Yan wanted his share of the food. "Go ahead." Lee Ye announced. When those words hit Xin Yan's ears he started to devour Lee Ye's plate. In truth, the food had actually looked like diarrhea, it also smelled like it too. All Lee Ye could think about was what kind of background did Xin Yan come from to stomach the shit food. AUTHOR'S NOTES: So, Xin Yan (the boy) was died for a bit and woke back up to life losing all memory, except for speech. He had taken on Xin Yan's (hallucination) name because of the dreams and hallucinations, but that didn't give him the knowledge that Xin Yan had. Xin Yan lacks common sense and knowledge, so he is pretty much learning from a blank slate.

CHAPTER 6- MYSTERIOUS ABILITIES
"Boy, you look hungry, do you want mine?" A voice came from the cell across from them.
"En." Xin Yan nodded his head.
"Haha... an interesting child you are." A old man appeared out of the shadow walking with his hands behind his back.
The old man pushed his tray over towards Xin Yan's cell. The tray stopped a foot short of the cell, so Xin Yan had to reach his arms out between the bars to grab the tray. As soon as he pulled the tray into his cell, Xin Yan started to devour the tray.
"Thank you." Xin Yan started to gobble down the crap food.
"Where are you from boy?"
"Dragon village." Xin Yan had taken Xin Yan's identity, so he might as well take everything else.
"Dragon village... that village should have been destroyed over 100 years ago. How is it possible that you are from there?"
"Don't remember." The boy gave a short reply and continued to eat.
"What could a child have done to be thrown into the dungeons?"
"I angered the gate guard captain." Xin Yan replied with food flying out of his mouth.
"Haha... you are interesting indeed." The old man laughed as he watched Xin Yan chow down on the crap food.
"Why are you in here?" Xin Yan asked.
"... huh... My life is quite unfortunate... someone with power wanted my sword, so they framed me."
"What is framed?" Xin Yan tilted his head to the side confused.
"It is when someone make up lies that someone else committed crimes that they didn't."
"Stop talking to him Xin Yan, he's probably lying. Majority of these criminals are in here because they deserve to be." Lee Ye barked at Xin Yan.
"Then what about us?" Xin Yan became even more confused.
"..." Lee Ye turned around in anger.
Lee Ye had tried to use Xin Yan to attract the guards attention and sneak into the wall while they were distracted, but failed, resulting him being thrown in the dungeons with Xin Yan. Their crime was a pity crime, but they had pissed off the gate guard captain, which furthered their punishment. Many of these people who were in the dungeons did commit their crimes, but some of them they had actually been framed by someone in a high position. It wasn't uncommon that the ones with power would abuse it. Throughout history, it was too common and the weak would always been eaten by the strong. Being locked up in the first floor basement dungeon wasn't too bad and usually for the crime, within about 1 month they would be released.
Once night crept in, the prisoners started howling and screaming of their sufferings. The ones that have been wronged and thrown in the dungeons cried for their loved ones or yelled in hatred for the ones that framed them. The ones that did deserve to be in the dungeons laughed and got off on the ones who suffered. Every night, the dungeons would go crazy with cries of agony or laughter and howling. Xin Yan copied the howling and shouts thinking it was a custom of sort, while Lee Ye stared dumbly at Xin Yan, as if he gone retarded.
*clink, clink, clink*
"SHUT THE FUCK UP! I WILL FUCKING DESTROY EVERY ONE OF YOU, IF YOU DON'T QUIET DOWN!" A coarse voice shouted from down the dungeon.
With those words and the sound of the voice, everyone shut their mouths. Xin Yan looked around and tried to figure out what was going on. Every prisoner had crawled back into their little corners in fear of the owner of the voice.
"Haha... haha... boy! Where are you!?" *clink, clink, clink* The voice laughed sinisterly.
"Damn it! It's the gate guard captain. SHIT!" Lee Ye shouted.
"haha... there you are!" The gate guard captain gave a sinister smile, as he looked at Xin Yan.
"Boy, I'll make you regret for this morning, haha..." The gate guard captain licked his lips, as he looked at the fresh meat in front of him.
Homosexuality was quite common, as long as you weren't on the receiving end, it was alright, you weren't considered gay. There was many sexual fantasies out there, some enjoyed males and little boys, while some enjoyed females. Everyone had their own preference, but it was common that people of power would at times target children to fulfill their sexual desires. The gate guard captain was a man who enjoyed torturing the weak and raping when he could. One of his favorite delicacies was little boys between the ages of 3 to 15.
Xin Yan couldn't really understand that, he was about to lose his anal virginity to this disgusting man. Lee Ye on the other hand was quivering in the corner, he had heard rumors and knew exactly what was about to happen. What could both of them do though, one was three years old while the other was seven years old. Both came from a poverty driven background, so if anything was to happen to them no one would miss them or even know of it. Lee Ye's asshole clinched as he looked at the gate guard captain. "Boy, I am going to make you lick this wound, then clean the rest of my body with that tongue of yours!" The gate guard captain had a bit of excitement hidden in his speech as he opened the cell gate. "You disgusting being, bullying the young and taking advantage of your position and power!" The old man in the cell across from them suddenly said out in protection of them.
"Shut up old man! If you don't want your tongue cut out and served to you, quietly watch the show, haha..."
*click*
The cell gate was opened and the gate guard captain walked in with a giant smile on his face. Xin Yan didn't know exactly was going to happen, but he could feel that his life was in danger, he needed to do something otherwise his fate was sealed. When the captain turned around to lock the cell gate, Xin Yan realized that this was his moment. If, he didn't do anything now, he wouldn't have another chance. Xin Yan darted towards the weapon at the captain's waist, putting all of his hopes into this action.
*BAM!*
Xin Yan was kicked into the wall, the captain had figured that one of them would try something and had been on guard. Xin Yan slammed into the granite walls and had the air knocked out of him. Lee Ye was shocked at Xin Yan's action, he had been scared shitless the moment the Captain walked into the room and had decided that his fate was seal. Xin Yan struggled to get up from the ground after being knocked hard in the head on impact.
"Boy! I won't kill you, yet. I still need to have fun with you and make you scream, hehe... haha..." The captain started laughing like a madman as he grabbed onto Xin Yan's hair and raised him up eye level.
"AHHHH...!" Xin Yan screamed, as he grabbed onto the Captain's wrist trying to pull himself up so that his hair didn't all pull out of his head.
"Yes! scream just like that! haha... this is exciting me!" The captain's boner looked like it was ready to protrude out from his pants.
Yee Le stared off to the side scared and not moving. He felt guilty, but he was going to sacrifice Xin Yan allowing himself to stay safe. Yee Le had gotten Xin Yan into this situation and he was going to abandon him just to survive, this was the world. One moment someone was your friend, the next they would let you suffer and die or kill you. Xin Yan tried to circulate the pool of light throughout his body to strengthen himself. He was in a life or death situation and everything else didn't matter anymore. The energy started to explode out of his body as a dark energy started to spiraling in front of Xin Yan's face. This scene had scared the captain into releasing Xin Yan. Seeing that the captain had given Xin Yn an opening, he darted for the sword at the captain's waist again. The captain had been caught unprepared so this time he had allowed Xin Yan to draw his sword out of the sheath.
Taking a step back, Xin Yan brandish the sword in his hand, it was quite the sight, as the sword was two times the size of Xin Yan. He wield it like it was a great sword laying the tip of the sword on the ground and swinging it in a vertical motion aiming at the captain's waists. Xin Yan's current strength was the same as someone who was at the age of 6, so wielding the sword right now was currently hard. With the burst of energy flowing through him and his physical strength combined, his actual strength was at someone who was 14 years of age. "A child wants to kill me!?" These actions had enraged the captain, causing him to lose his cool and reaching his hand for Xin Yan's face, as it was the closest target. Xin Yan stared as the palm the size of his head reached for him, suddenly a hidden energy surged inside of him and his movements became 10x faster. Everything seemed to have slowed down in front of him, the palm seemed to have froze in front of him. Xin Yan didn't know what was going on, but he was going to use this opportunity given to him, to finish the Captain off. The captain's body suddenly stopped, he thought he had felt something, but he thought he was just imagining it. It didn't take no more than a breath of time, before he started to gargle his own blood. He looked down towards his waist and saw that his body was starting to slide as there was a bloody vertical line from his waist to his arm pit.
The movement had been to fast for anyone to see. Lee Ye and the old man stared at Xin Yan in astonishment. What just happened and who was this boy? A boy in lion fur was able to kill a captain without anyone seeing what transpired. Lee Ye woke up from his shock after a few breaths time and rushed up to the corpse grabbing the cell keys. Xin Yan just stood there like a statue, not sure of what to do next.
"Come on!" Lee Ye grabbed onto Xin Yan's arm as he started dragging him towards the cell gate, opening it.
*click*
Just as Lee Ye dragged Xin Yan out of the cell, the old man called out "Wait, help me out! Please, open the gate."
Xin Yan stared at the old man, remembering the story he was told of being framed.
"Come on, let's go!"
"Wait, I want to help him out."
"What!? Are you crazy, most of these men are criminals forget about them."
"You can go, but I won't."
"Fine, do what you want! I'm going to leave, here" Lee Ye handed Xin Yan the cell keys and took off.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
So, if your wondering why Xin Yan was able to kill the guard captain, it is because he is only at the Spirit Realm. Because of his connections he was able to move up in the world. This guy isn't important anyways.
Sorry about the combination of physical strength with energy power. I had originally based this story off another universe after this one, but in the end decided this one should be joint with Nameless and Wanderer. I currently have a few ideas in my head and they all combine into one really in the end. I liked the concept from Coiling Dragon's author. In wanderer in the later chapters which isn't posted yet, the physical body is only doesn't improve with each and every realm you jump up. This mistake is on me.
I was thinking of having the boy activate some spell that would kill the guard captain, but too much work to have to rewrite the chapter. I'll make this correction later on in the story, so if you see it then don't hate. If you don't know about the realms, just read Wanderer chapter 1.

7. BOTTOM OF THE DUNGEON
Xin Yan stared at the keys placed in his hands, he held the power to release all of these prisoners right now. The gate guard captain had released the prison guard so that he could have his little fun, so there was to be no one for a while. He looked around at the other cell, what if the old man was telling the truth? He couldn't dismiss these thoughts, there was a feeling inside of him that he couldn't understand, and it was the feeling of someone that had been wronged once as well. Xin Yan slowly walked over towards the Old man's cell door. The Old man stared at Xin Yan shocked, was this boy really going to release him?
*click*
The Old man stared shock at Xin Yan, he had really opened the gate.
"Boy, thank you! I will always remember this favor. I am Lao Xu, what is the name of this savior?"
"Xin Yan."
"Xin Yan, I will one day repay this favor." With those words, the Old man walked out of the cell and quickly made his way towards the exit.
Xin Yan stared at the other cells as their eyes laid on him, hoping that this boy would unlock their cells too. Majority of these people that had been locked up on the first level was actually innocent, while the rest had committed minor crimes. The level conditions weren't too bad and they weren't abused too badly. It could be said that the punishment was fitting for the crime. It was when he thought of all the people who were actually framed and thrown in the dungeons wrongfully. It's just criminals on the first floor of the dungeons, it wouldn't hurt too much to let them all go.
Xin Yan started unlocking all of the cells on the first floor of the dungeons. It was night time, so all of the prison guards were asleep except the ones pulling guard. The guard on the first floor had already been relieved so there was no one guarding the first floor as the prisoners ran out.
"YAY WE ARE FREE!" The prisoners shouted as they escaped.
The loud commotion had alerted the guards. The alarm was rung alerting all guards of the escapees. The guards on the 2nd through 5th floor also ran up to the first floor to help control the commotion leaving the entire dungeon unguarded. Xin Yan easily slipped by the guards with his small stature and headed down to the second floor of the dungeon. There, he figured that these criminals couldn't have been too bad to be imprisoned here, so he also released these prisoners. With the prisoners on the first floor and second floor of the dungeon being released, it was too much for the prison guards to do anything and they had to mobilize the army.
"What the fuck is going on? Someone give me the status report!" The warden commanded.
"Sir, someone released all of the prisoners on the first and second floor of the dungeon! We can barely hold our ground, but it won't be long before they escape." A prison guard reported.
"Who the fuck let them out!?" The warden interrogated.
"Sir, I think it was Captain Chee." Another guard answered.
"Captain Chee?"
"Yes sir, I was on guard when Captain Chee relieved me and told me to go take a nap for one hour, taking the keys from me." The guard answered.
"FUCK! FIND CAPTAIN CHEE! HOW MUCH LONGER TIL THE ARMY IS MOBILIZED!?" The warden screamed.
Captain Chee was the person Xin Yan had killed. Xin Yan had cause a giant ruckus, not only did he released the prisoners on the first and second-floor dungeon, he decided to release the prisoners on the third-floor dungeon. The prisoners on the third-floor dungeon beyond were considered murderers, so letting these people go had increased the pressure on the capital as there was criminal running amok within the capital.
Xin Yan didn't know why, but he kept going deeper into the dungeon. As he walked past the prisoners on the lower floors, they kept hollering at him. Some of them tried to grab onto Xin Yan in hopes to get the keys to free themselves. Xin Yan ignored all of the hollering and arms trying to reach for him and descended onto the fifth-floor dungeon. All the way down at the end of the hallway was a room by itself with a steel door with blood inscriptions on the door. Xin Yan felt drawn to this door for some reason, he kept walking towards the door ignoring all of the other doors he walked past.
By now the Army had reached the dungeon and was trying to suppress the prisoners. It was insane as many of the prisoners on the third floor had already escaped and were fighting with the guards.
There at the very end of the hallway on the 5th floor, the door stood in front of Xin Yan. He keys on Xin Yan's key chain didn't work for this door, as he kept trying every key on there. The peak hole was too high for him to open and look through so there wasn't much he could do. Turning around he ran to grab the chair sitting behind the guard's desk. When he reached the desk, just as he went to grab the chair, he noticed a single key hanging on a nail underneath the guard's desk.
Xin Yan grabbed the key along with the chair and ran back towards the cell. If the key was to fail, he would use the chair to open the peak hole and look inside the room. Reaching the steel door, Xin Yan inserted the key into the keyhole. *click* Xin Yan was happy that the key had worked. He didn't know why, but as soon as the feeling of happiness flooded him, he was also flooded with the feeling of anger, hate, loathe, and sadness.
*creak* The door opened and on the other side, Xin Yan saw a naked man. This naked man had his eyes gouged out along with his penis cut off. The man was shackled in chains attached to the wall, his hair had grown out down to his feet and it looked like he hadn't been cleaned in years. The whole room was filled with inscriptions and there was one on his chest. It was a form of seal, to seal this man's power. Xin Yan didn't know why, but this man looked familiar to him. The emotions he was experiencing seemed to be from this man at the bottom of the dungeon.
Who was this man? Why were his eyes gauged out? Especially his third leg? What could this man have done to have experienced such wrath upon himself?
The man didn't seem to notice Xin Yan's presence. The man opened his mouth to scream in frustration, it was then that Xin Yan noticed that his tongue had also been cut out. Who could have been so cruel to do such a thing? Xin Yan walked up to the man to try and comfort him since he was feeling all of the emotions this man was also experiencing. It was then when Xin Yan tried to touch the man that Xin Yan noticed, he was a hallucination. Xin Yan's hand went right through the man's body.
"UUUUAAAAHHHH!!!" The man screamed.
"How have you been?" A voice sounded from the cell door.
The owner of the voice was a blurry figure. For some reason, the only thing that Xin Yan could see was the man's face. He had looked like he was in his early 20's and from his facial features, he was quite handsome. The blurry figure walked over to the chained man and took a knee right in front of him, grabbing him his hair, raising his head to meet his.
"Such a sad fate, if you only didn't try to go against us. Tsk tsk tsk."
"UUUAAAHHH!!!" The chain man screamed.
"Xin Yan, haha... how you have fallen."
Xin Yan (the boy) was shocked! The chained man with his eyes gouged out, penis and tongue cut off was Xin Yan! The fate of Xin Yan was too shocking for Xin Yan (the boy) to believe. What had happened? How could Xin Yan have ended up in the bottom of the dungeon locked up?
"If only you and Meng Lao didn't obstruct me... I could have spared you and your whole village. Look at you, while you are in this pitiful state, where is your trusted friend now? He is probably having the time of his life right now with Lin Bao. Lin Bao... I wonder how she would've tasted... hahaha..."
Xin Yan (the boy) suddenly felt a surge of regret and hatred, but it wasn't towards this man.
"Your friend... betrayed you over a woman. huh... so disappointing." The man mocked Xin Yan.
The man stared at Xin Yan for a while longer, pitying him before turning around to leave the cell.
Everything faded in front of Xin Yan and instead of the image of Xin Yan (hallucination), it was an old man staring at Xin Yan.
"Boy, why do you keep staring at me? Is there a grudge between us?"
Xin Yan just stared at the old man, the image he had seen before was too shocking to him. He couldn't comprehend what was going on. Why was Xin Yan in chains in the dungeon? Is this related to why the Dragon village was exterminated? What about Meng Lao and Lin Bao?
"I heard a commotion from above earlier, is it related to you?"
Xin Yan continued to stare at the spot Xin Yan (hallucination) was at, ignoring the old man. If, Xin Yan kept following these hallucinations, was his destiny meant to be the same? There was a sudden fright in him and these hallucinations.
"If the commotion upstairs was related to you, I'm guessing you have the keys to these chains. If, I may ask, would you release this old man? I would repay my gratitude one day." The old man continued even though he was ignored.
Xin Yan came out of his daze and realized the old man in front of him. He stared at the old man for a second to determine whether or not he should release the old man from his bindings. To have been put down here, the old man must've committed a grave crime. The only problem was, Xin Yan (hallucination) had also been locked in this very cell. The punishment had been too cruel, Xin Yan's eyes were gouged out, his tongue and private part had been cut off. After thinking about the scene of Xin Yan (hallucination), Xin Yan (the boy) decided not to stall any longer. The boy walked up to the old man and released him from his chains.
"Boy, what is your name?"
"Xin Yan."
"Xin Yan... you have exactly the same name of someone I once knew. Maybe it was destined for us to meet. I will remember this kindness you've paid me. I will impart you with something."
"Huh...?" Xin Yan was confused from his last comment.
The old man extended his pointer finger and pressed it against Xin Yan's brows. A crazy amount of information drilled into Xin Yan's head from the old man. The amount of information was too massive causing Xin Yan to receive a sharp pain throughout his brain. In only a second all of this information was transmitted from the old man to Xin Yan, with Xin Yan laying on the ground in the fetus position with his hands clenching his head.
Some of the Information that flowed into his head was related to Xin Yan, it was techniques and the usage of elemental attacks. Other images were of random people the old man had met throughout his lifetime. It was all random memories and information being transmitted into Xin Yan.
"AAAHHHH!!!...." Xin Yan screamed as the information drilled through his brain.
"Huh... boy, it is painful, but once it is over, you will benefit a lot from these memories of mine. If fate will have it, we will one day meet again, Xin Yan..." As the old man said those words, he vanished from the spot.
The pain was so intense that, it had thrown Xin Yan unconscious. There Xin Yan fell into the abyss, spiraling into the darkness.
