That's absolutely annoying !! It even happened to me when I clicked on the links being in this forum ! Did you try to copy-paste the links and search on google ? When you say " profile page " do you mean a facebook page ?
Thanks, I copied the links and they worked. It seems that you found the cast of the 1994 Woolong Yuan film. I was looking for the 80s television series. However, the one you felt was the person may have potential. Ku Paoming isn't quite a martial arts actor, more like a humorist, the bald guy in the 9 Dragon Lanterns also seems like a funny character. He seems sort of active on FB, so I'll see.

By special effects, do you mean the ones used when the same action few seconds are repeated several times as if it was jerking ?I don't know how to explain what I mean, sorry.
This also happens in White Horse...and you said that it was a Singaporean series, but maybe both countries use the same way of filming.
Yes. And the house leaping (jumping off a building, then rewind the film). Speaking of White Horse, the guy who replied me at Chin Hong's page mentioned it as one of the direct to video productions in Taiwan, along with The Eleventh Son and September Hawk, "and some Wolong Sheng Novels". I asked him if he meant the David Chiang White Horse series but didn't get a reply. The reason I was quite confident that the series was Singaporean was because the opening seemed so different from Taiwanese productions. The subtitles, the camera angles...etc While typing this I'm looking back at the post where it mentions that the White Horse is from Singapore. There are a couple things I missed: 1. It mentions that ATV bought the series from Singapore 2. The poster is sure it was filmed in Taiwan (didn't cite the reason) 3. The poster has checked with TTV Taiwan, as well as looked up the TV database (which is sadly still offline since 2015), and confirmed that the series was never broadcasted in Taiwan. 4. On the other hand, unfortunately the people who handled the series at ATV have either retired or left their posts so there was no way for the poster to trace the origins in Singapore. Assuming that the White Horse series is really direct to video, it somehow makes it kind of consistent with the whole situation. The site as well as the opening also lists a lot of names so it would likely be easier to look into them on its origins. Also, that makes so far TWO direct videos for Chiang. Interesting. When you say " direct to video production ", you mean that they filmed it directly for VHS or whatever format and that it was never aired on TV ? If so, there should be traces of these videos ! Do we have members in Singapore or Malaysia here who could ask around them or in their Chinatown shops in order to see if this series has had a release there ?

Well, I copied-pasted the Chinese name on google (with the English name, it lead me to Oolong tea !! ) and I found the movie. Actually, I didn't look forward to see if there was somethiing else !
Well, I don't find any television series except a cartoon one. Do you have the precise year ?

reinafu Direct to video: Yes, I mean it was filmed to the VHS and was never aired on TV, at least not in Taiwanese TV. As I mentioned, it's quite interesting that information regarding this part of entertainment is lacking on the internet. Like no one cares about it any more. Woolong: (烏龍) While literally translated as "Black Dragon", there are a lot of uses for this phrase: A Peking Opera play is called "Woolong Yuan", which is based on a story in The Water Margin. A type of tea is called Woolong/Oolong A type of noodles (in Japanese, "Udon") In Cantonese, Woolong (not sure about the Cantonese pronunciation) means clumsy. This usage has spreaded from Cantonese to Mandarin, which brings us to... Woolong Yuan: This is a wuxia comic that began its publishing in the '80s Taiwan. It's about two masters and two students with a focus on funny elements. There were quite a lot of adaptions: Animated movie in '84 Television adaption in '84. The show I was referring to was this one. The adaption wasn't faithful and the artist hated it. Movie adaption in '94. The information you found was this one. The adaption isn't faithful either, but at that point it seemed that the artist doesn't care, and since a more recent generation has watched it, as well as all the reruns, most people remember it, and most of the information on the internet is this one. Web Cartoon in recent years. Remake of the '94 movie this year. The trailer in your last post is this one. When that '80s fan guy told me the Bald Dragon was in the WLY TV series I mowed through the internet and found extremely limited information. I found four actors involved but not the one I wanted. Sigh. Oh and Ku Paoming has replied it isn't him. Double sigh.

As for the ones I was able to find regarding the tv series, currently they're in obscurity now. Quadruple sigh.

What I meant is if you had tried to contact the other actors from the links I provided. The '94 movie is not connected to the '84 tv series. Contacting the actors from the movie would unlikely help us regarding the tv series.

No news form the various David Chiang's fan clubs on the links ?
That's so strange that nobody talks about this series nor seem to have any clue about it, since he is a so famous artist !!

So far, no. They don't even list the White Horse series. The Chinese fanclub has asked me to wait for a month since I registered (7/27). Grrr....

Another 80s fan has provided me the identity of the Bald Dragon. The actor's name is Hung Kei. Judging by his film list, and the order he's listed, he's likely in obscurity as well. Another dead end, but at least a loose end tied. For now. hkmdb.com/db/people/view.mhtml?id=49038&display_set=big5I've sent an inquiry to Huaijiudvd. Fingers crossed.
