This is a 1996 adaptation from Liang Yusheng's 3 novels : 白发魔女传 (White Hair Demonesse),塞外奇侠传 (Legends of Outside Frontiers Heroes?), 七剑下天山 (Seven Swords of Mt. Heaven) This is a collaboration from Singapore TV with Mainland China TV. No wonder it's almost forgotten and almost unheard. I was lucky when I searched around on my smart TV then I found this series. I just watched half of the first episode. It looked pretty decent. The shooting was done around the desert in Xinjiang and Gansu. But the actors and actresses were not the best looking that I could expect of Yu Luocha, Hamaya (Fei Hongjin) and Yi Lanzhu. Will update later when I progress the series. Meanwhile, enjoy the pictures:

The above image is Yu Luocha - Hamaya's martial teacher - the White Haired Demonesse. The lower image is Hamaya / Fei Hongjin. Used with the image of Ada Choi as Hamaya in Seven Swordsman series adaptation, then I'm not used with this actress image as Hamaya.

There is a thread on this serial right here dear Admin. If you have any questions regarding this serial feel free to ask me. I have watched it a million times and still love it even though it doesn't follow the novels very closely. It is based off all 3 novels, omitting 80% of all the characters. wuxiasociety.freeforums.net/thread/311/legend-white-hair-brides-1996

Since you said you like it, I trust your judgment it's not bad.I will continue watching it then. Actually I watched until episode 2 last night, and I almost gave up because Zuo Yihang was not handsome and didn't have any hero's aura.

Actually I watched until episode 2 last night, and I almost gave up because Zuo Yihang was not handsome and didn't have any hero's aura. I thought that the Zhuo Yihang is good looking enough. But I'm a guy who does not enjoy xiaoxianrou. The series really picks up with the introduction of Nalan Minghui (Ann Kok). Maybe you'll hate her (lots of female viewers do) but you will not be indifferent to her. Zhuo Yihang and Yu Luocha are not the main characters. The main narrative really revolves around the love triangle between Yang Yucong, Hamaya and Nalan Minghui--something not really in the book (in the book, Yang Yucong is clearly only in love with Nalan Minghui). The scriptwriters made some changes and adaptations, so there are surprises along the way. Not all that bad, because I feel the first book Saiwai Qixia is one of Liang Yusheng's weaker novels. Happy watching!

She's a confident girl who always told Hamaya to be gentle, because guys like gentle girls. LOL. Have to say that Yang Yunchong in here is pretty good looking compared to 2006 adaptations of Seven Swordsmen of Mt. Heaven's YYC. Progressing very slow for me, still up to episode 7.

I thought that Yang Yuncong was quite good looking too. He's definitely better looking than the Yuncong from 2006's Seven Swordsmen of Mt. Heaven.
This Yang Yuncong has been called a heartless guy. You decide.
