My list : 1. Xiao Ao Jiang Hu 2001 2. LOCH 2003 3. DGSD 2003 4. ROCH 2006 5. Bi Xue Jian with Eva Huang. Don't remember the production year. I think that's all. The rest newer version, I don't even bother to watch. Not to mention the ones produced by Yu Zheng

Why? because a lot of peoples complained about ROCH 2006 being to "manga". YG's big sword, his hair style, and not to mention the ending part when YG and XLN fly to the moon

YG's big sword, his hair style, and not to mention the ending part when YG and XLN fly to the moon oh, ROCH2006 is far from perfect--the sword was ridiculous, and there were several very horribly cast characters (huang rong being the worst offender). but the main leads did a credible job, the scenery was gorgeous, and guo xiang was cute. i did watch DGSD 2004--i just didn't like the casting of the leads as much as ROCH 2006, hence my vote. and i'm sorry, i'm once again in the minority camp: i can't stand li ah peng, so i can't watch his JY adaptations. he's the new generation adam cheng for me.

He's a good actor though:O I'm not a big fan of Li Ya Peng, but I'm still okay watching his series. But I know a lot of peoples hate him EVen in China, there's a lot of peoples hate him. Especially after he got divorced with Wong Fei.

Bi xue jian 2007, definitely. And Lu Xiao Feng with Julian Cheung. (Peter Ho was terrible but other than that I don't have any complaints.)
As for ROCH, well... My favourite characters turned out very well, the ending theme was awesome and if one ffwded through most YG&XLN scenes, it was - all considered - a cool show with some pretty rich, complex characters and lovely visuals. :-)
And I actually liked most of the cast quite a lot. Including the ones not very popular among old-school fans (Guo Jing in particular - couldn't warm up to Beardy after seeing Wang Luoyong's GJ).

As a crazy fan of Adam Cheng, I find that he is great in all his roles and he is a great singer and concert performer too, but, as it's said in my country, all the tastes are in the Nature...

I met Adam Cheng in 2010. He's an awesome guy. Although he's not young anymore, but he's really fit for his age. I like Adam Cheng I think his songs are pretty good too

How lucky you are to have been able to meet Adam Cheng !!
I would love to meet him (and even sing with him !) too, but of course, it's an impossible dream... I would find myself lucky enough if I could send him a message (to him personnally, and not to a fan club where it's the secretaries who answer in the name of the artist without letting him read the fans' letters, as I heard it often happens when fans write to their idols through their fan clubs) in order to let him know that he has at least one French fan (without Chinese origins) who admires all his works, from his early Chinese TVB folklore movies to his last series (by the way, does anyone know if he played in other series/movies after Saving General Yang and Master of play ?) and also all his songs. And there are still a lot of movies/series/cds that I'm desperately looking for...

DGSD 2004 - this one I liked because this was the first (modern) Mainland China swordfighting series I watched. The scenery was beautiful, and the filmatography was refreshing.

Hi everybody,
If you could think of those who are not as experts as you when you talk about series and name them with their full names, it would be great, please.
I don't know what is DGSD and a few other titles which are mentioned in this forum only with the first letters of their titles, so, I'm a little bit confused...
Thank you very much.
