But before I go off topic, here's a story about the general Liu Zongmin who I think was said to be "closer" to Chen Yuan Yuan rather than Li Zicheng.
Is Liu Zong Min a real life general?

Yes he's real. His Chinese wiki entry cites some historical literature.

I don't think Liu Zongmin ever appeared in Sword Stained with Royal Blood or Duke of Mount Deer/Deer and the Cauldron. In the DOMD novel, Chen Yuan Yuan and Li Zicheng were said to had an affair and had a love child. But in real life I don't think the two(CYY and LCZ) ever got in very close distance but I could be wrong. Even so, Liu Zongmin had probably more contact in closer distance to Chen Yuan Yuan in real life after she got separated from Wu Sangui during the war.

Even so, Liu Zongmin had probably more contact in closer distance to Chen Yuan Yuan in real life after she got separated from Wu Sangui during the war. If I'm not mistaken, I watched a series about the final year of the Ming Dynasty. And in the story, Liu Zongmin was one of the most trusted generals of Li Zicheng. While Wu Sangui was defending Shanhai Pass, Beijing fell under Li Zicheng and CYY and WSG's father were captured by Li Zicheng. Li Zicheng admired CYY, and CYY respected LZC. But then Liu Zongmin raped Chen Yuanyuan, and eventually caused Wu Sangui's father killed. Wu Sangui was enraged and held LZC responsible for all of it. I don't know how accurate it is to history. But I read a historical book about the life of women in Ming and Qing Dynasty, and one of them women in the book is CYY. CYY was the most beautiful courtesan woman in late Ming Dynasty. But she's indeed had a suffering life despite all of the popularity she had. Afterall, she's just a courtesan who was bought and sold, and treated like a property.

In 1256 he led the siege on the Maymun-Diz, which is a major stronghold of Nizari Ismailis, AKA, Order of the Assassins. While the Order was not mentioned in the JY novels, the Ming Cult was tied to an "Old Man of the Mountain". Historically, the founder of the Order, Hassan-i Sabbah, was known as the Old Man of the Mountain as well (JY also seemed to mention him in an afterword in his novel). 2. Proposed Xiangyang as the key point of conquering the Southern Song, and eventually succeeded in 1273 (14 years after ROCH considering the year of death of Mongke). I couldn't help to think, as a character who destroys the Persian Ming Cult as well as leads to the final fate of most of Guo Jing's family, it seems that it would be logical that this person has ties with Wanyan Honglie or Ouyang Ke. Perhaps, another son of Yang Kang? LYS probably would write it that way, and his disciple or martial school would definitely be behind Cheng Kun or the two Elders.
