I wonder if there's anyone who is interested in doing Wuxia Tour. So basically we will go travel to places mentioned in wuxia series/films/books. Also go to places like Martial Art Museum in Pingyao, etc. Actually this idea is doable, people can fly anywhere from around the world, meet at a meeting point somewhere in China, and then start the tour. But for that...we need an expert. And that person who is capable to do that is : chefying wink wink....Chefying!!

Hmm, I suppose we would have to start at Beijing, that being a convenient travel hub. So.... Beijing - Forbidden City, now known as Imperial Palace Museum. Then train to TaiYuan, change for... PingYao - great museums over there. Then off to.. say, Xi'an. Xi'an - for Chong Yang Palace and HuaShan - I am going there end of this month! Wish me luck! From Xi'an to... Wudang Shan, then off to Zhengzhou as the base for Shaolin Temple, and Kaifeng then back to Beijing. I have omitted E'mei - it can be done, but the trip will take much longer. How does that sound?

How much I would love to be with you !!
Unfortunately, I'm too far from China, I don't have enough money to travel, I don't know if I would bear to sit in a plane for so many hours and...I wouldn't be able to porperly use the five Mandarin language tones in order to be understood by people I may meet...There should be an universal language in order to speak with everybody all around the world !!!
If you do this trip, I hope that you'll post some pictures for the " poor " fans who are isolated out of China !!

It sounds awesome chefying . Perhaps after Wudang Shan we can go to Ci Pi, The Red Cliff, the famous site for the Battle of the red cliff in THree Kingdoms. Can you calculate approximately how much is the cost? My calculation, using the train, the inland travel cost wouldn't be very expensive. Perhaps we can materialize this idea for next year. What do you think?

still open this wuxia tour for those who are interested LOL. Recently I just returned from my trip to Tibet and Yunnan. In Tibet, I went to some places mentioned in LYS's book 冰川天女 The Goddess from Glacier? (not sure if that's the correct translation), and in Yunnan, I visited places which was built by Wu San Gui - the real historical character and the character from The Deer and Cauldron (JY's Lu Ding Ji) Unfortunately I can't share pictures, since I don't know any picture hosting that I could use to post pic. Anyone could recommend pics hosting website?

Has anyone gone to PuTian in Fujian? The remnants of the Southern Shaolin Temple is there. I understand a replica of the southern Shaolin Temple had been built. I am sure it is rather kisch and touristy.
Is the replica worth a visit?
