Sorry to dig up a post that is three-year-old (!), but I thought I might introduce myself. From Singapore, that country where Chinese standards are, sadly, falling drastically. Very few of the younger generations seem interested in reading Chinese fiction. Interested in older wuxia classics. Can't say what my favourite novel is, I've only read Louis Cha, one Liang Yusheng and maybe one Gu Long. Will update on this forum the interesting discoveries I make on my journey, since nowadays I have quite a lot of free time.

Sure! I noticed there are over a hundred members here, yet only a handful post regularly? I hope I could urge others to contribute more to this forum!

Greetings from Texas. I got a Chinese degree almost ten years ago, and while I've read a fair amount of classical Chinese poetry since then, I haven't read much modern Chinese writing (in Chinese, that is). I recently decided to fix that by reading some wuxia novels. My first pick is 風鈴中的刀聲 by 古龍, which I chose because the title sounded awesome. So far it's a lot easier to read than I expected, given my skill level. I hope to hang out here more often and learn more about wuxia writing from everyone. 謝謝你們!
