I'm posting my wuxia story. And I hope the others will follow my trait and post their stories too
I haven't finished the story yet, although I kinda know the beginning and the end of the story.
Actually there was a time when I was ill and had to have a total bed rest. And since I was an active person, my doctor had to give me some pills to make me sleep and not move too much. In the end, because of the medication, I slept 16-18 hours a day. And yeah, because of that I got a lot of strange, weird and connected dreams. Basically, I write this story based on my dream
Of course I need to polish here and that to cover the loopholes, hopefully my dream based story can be reasonable enough
Oh...actually I choose Hangzhou cause I went there, and I visited some islet in West Lake. I fell in love with one of the mansion in the islet. There...I put it in my story.

Chapter 1
A New Beginning
It was a cold winter night in a small village northern part of Fuzhou. The cold wind and harsh snow made nobody wanted to leave their houses that night.
Inside Ye family humble house, an old man with his ragging breath were giving his last word to his only daughter.
“Yingying,” said the old man to his daughter. “Remember all the things I just said to you! Don’t ever miss a single word! In the next few days, your martial art older brother will come to pick you up. He’s a good respectable man. He will take care of you after I die!”
The young girl was about seventeen or eighteen years old. She was a very beautiful girl although she’s very humbly dressed and even her hair didn’t wear any hairpin or anything. She’s just naturally beautiful beyond comparison. She’s sobbing hearing her father’s words. His father had been ill for quite some times, and she knew that sooner or later this day would come that his father would die.
“Father, your daughter remembers all things. And I will keep that secret with me until someday I find someone who is worthy enough to know the secret,” said the girl tried to calm herself.
“Good girl!” said the old man. “Remember to give the letter to your martial brother. Go with him and listen to him. He’s the only family you have after I die!”
The girl didn’t say anything. She just cried and clutched her father’s hand, and after awhile she felt his hand getting colder and colder. Her father passed away that night.
A few days later outside the village, snow fell so fiercely. All grounds and trees were all covered with white snow. There, a young man wearing a purple robe was kneeling in front of a grave, accompanied with a young girl who wore a white robe. That young man was in his early twenties. He looked sad watching the tomb in front of him. After he bowed his head to the ground three times, he rose and followed the girl who led him go to her house.
The house was just a simple hut. Besides books, there’s nothing more inside the house. The man looked around while waiting for the girl who boiled some tea for him and his guards.
“Brother Wen, have some tea!” said the girl poured some tea to that young man. “Thank you, Yingying!”said the man.
“I’m sorry I come late!”said the man with a deep regret voice. “I went to the capital with my father, and just returned back to Hangzhou a few days ago. I hurriedly come here to meet your father, but I’m too late!”
“It’s not your fault,” said the girl. “By the way, my father left this letter for you,” said the girl and passed a letter to the young man.
Zhu Wen, the man took the letter. He recognized the handwriting of his teacher, Ye Xiaolong.
“My student Zhu Wen. When you receive this letter, means that I’m already passed away. Too bad I can’t see you in my last days. You’re my one and only student, and I’m so proud of you. I’m Old Ye, is a useless man. I haven’t finished passing all my kungfu to you, and more than that, I even have not fulfill my duty as a father to my daughter. I give you all my martial art and medicine books. I hope it will be useful for you. And regarding my daughter Yingying, I need your help to take care of her. This year she will be seventeen years old. If you like her, you can take her as your wife or concubine. And if not, then help and represent me to find a good husband for her. About the rest of the thing, time will tell! Your teacher, Ye Xiaolong.”
Zhu Wen read the letter, and he sighed. He felt sad of his teacher sudden death. Somehow he felt more pity to Yingying rather than her father. Her father was old already, while the girl in front of him was still young and she’s an orphan now. He looked at the girl who sat quietly on her chair. Her face was calm, somber, beautiful, elegant, and her eyes showed her strong will.
“Yingying, do you know what your father wrote in his letter?” asked Zhu Wen to her. Yingying nodded her head. “He asked you to take care of me!” said Yingying with low voice.
“It’s good that you know. I will ask my men to pack your father’s belonging and your belongings now. Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow after the snow, we will go back to Hangzhou. You will stay at my house there. You don’t have to worry, I will take care of you!” said Zhu Wen to Yingying. Yingying again nodded her head.
Two days later they left the house and headed to Hangzhou. Yingying looked sad and confused. She looked confused whether she should also bring her two rabbits with her or not. She looked so eager to bring her rabbits, but she’s also hesitated because now she’s no longer free. She would live under her martial art brother protection since that day. Zhu Wen was a nice polite man. He knew that Yingying must be sad leaving her house. Somehow she’s been living there for the rest of her life. “Yingying, just carry anything you want to carry! You should also bring your rabbits with you!” said Zhu Wen and he smiled to Yingying. Yingying looked so happy. She smiled back. “Thank you Brother Wen!”
That’s the first time Zhu Wen saw Yingying smiled. He knew that the girl was beautiful, but he never thought that she’s very beautiful.
The trip from Fuzhou to Hangzhou was smooth. They entered Hangzhou just a few days before the Spring Festival. Zhu Wen knocked to Yingying’s carriage when the troupe entered Hangzhou city gate. The troupe consisted of ten guards and three carriages. One carried Yingying, one carried Zhu Wen, and the other one carried Yingying and her father’s belongings. Zhu Wen was a son of high rank officer in the capital, that’s why he had guards protecting him everywhere he went although he knew martial art and his skill was not weak at all.
“Yingying, we are entering Hangzhou now. Do you want to take a walk for a bit and look around?” asked Zhu Wen.
Yingying thought it was a good idea. She got off from her carriage and took a walk with Zhu Wen. That’s the first time for her to go to a big city. Zhu Wen watched her, and he was amused by her plainness. She didn’t even know what was silk or face powder were. She looked awkward and confused when Zhu Wen took her to the clothing store to buy her new clothes for new year.
“Yingying, take anything you want!” said Zhu Wen.
“Uhm, I..I…” said Yingying confused.
“No need to think about money or anything! Anything I have is yours too!” said Zhu Wen smiled.
Yingying surprised to hear that, and Zhu Wen also surprised and his face blushed. His trusted bodyguard who stood near him tried so hard not to giggle watching his master blushed like that. It was obvious that Zhu Wen was enamored to Ye Yingying while the young girl was too naive to know it.
In the end, one of the guards, an old female helped Yingying to choose her clothing and hairpins.
They walked a little bit before they arrived in a dock at the West Lake, they had to use a boat to go to Wen’s mansion. As they walked to the dock, they passed a young man who just got off from a small boat. That man carried a long sword. He had his eyes as bright as stars and as sharp as a knife. He was starring at Zhu Wen and Ye Yingying without stopping his steps. Zhu Wen knew that the man kungfu skill was not weak at all. Afraid that the man would hurt them, spontaneously Zhu Wen clutched Yingying’s hand while he gathered his inner strength and ready in case the man suddenly attacked them. Yet, the man didn’t do anything to them.
Zhu Wen tried to remember if he ever met him before. But he couldn’t recall who that man was.
They arrived in Wen’s mansion in Hangzhou, which was located in a small islet in the West Lake (Xihu). Yingying was so astonished to see such a big mansion, guarded with a lot of soldiers and attended by more than a dozen of maids and servants. Zhu Wen’s parents lived in Beijing instead of Hangzhou, he’s now the master on their Hangzhou mansion.
The maids and servants who welcomed Zhu Wen were surprised to see Zhu Wen brought a girl home with him. He’s a decent man, and never brought any girl or prostitute to his mansion. They began to wonder who the girl was. Zhu Wen introduced Ye Yingying as his teacher’s merely daughter, and started on that day, she would become part of his family and everyone should respect and serve her as if serving Zhu Wen himself.
“The maid will help you, and I will see tonight for dinner,” said Zhu Wen to Yingying. Yingying nodded.
The maids helped and dressed Yingying and helped her to do her hair.
When she came up for dinner, Zhu Wen was so astonished to see her. He had seen a lot of beautiful girls, peasant girls, noble girls, but none of them could compare to Ye Yingying. Not only because Yingying was his teacher’s daughter that he felt responsible to take care of her, but now with her sweet attitude and her beautiful face, Zhu Wen couldn’t resist not to pamper her.
Yingying was a nice simple girl, and she’s very polite and gentle to everyone. She never took advantage of Zhu Wen generousity. Her gentle attitude made her loved by anyone in Wen mansion.
A day before the spring festival, as part of the family tradition, Wen family distributed some foods and blankets to the beggars and poor people who live around the West Lake. That day, Yingying followed the maids and the house butler distributed foods and blankets around the dock. Suddenly her eyes catch someone who starred at her. It was the man whom she and Zhu Wen met a few days earlier in the dock.
That man starred at Yingying with his sharp eyes. Yingying didn’t understand why he looked at her that way. But something in her heart telling her that the man was not an evil man who would harm her. She lowered her head tried to hide her face from his eyes who kept on watching her. Somehow she felt that no matter where she went, that man was following her and starring at her.
Yingying felt awkward, she hurriedly left the place and walked to the boat which would take her back to the Wen mansion. She didn’t realize that she dropped her handkerchief. It was just a simple handkerchief with some embroidery on it.
“Tell the guard I want to go back home now, later he can come back again and pick up the others!” said Yingying to her maid who accompanied her all the time. Her maid shouted at the guard who immediately prepared to row the boat back to the islet.
Yingying was just stepping her feet on the boat when suddenly she heard someone shouted at her. “Miss, stop!” said the man. Yingying turned her head, and it’s the man again. He waved her handkerchief to Yingying. “You dropped your handkerchief!”
Yingying said nothing and starred at the man. Her maid stepped down and took the handkerchief from the man and brought it to Yingying.
“Thank you, Mister!” said Yingying. She turned her head and went into the boat cabin. The boat rowed away heading to Wen Mansion. The man was still there at the dock watching the boat left.
