The Eagle Shooting Heroes 射鵰英雄傳之東成西就 The Eagle Shooting Heroes is a 1993 Hong Kong comedy film directed by Jeffrey Lau. It is a parody of Louis Cha's novel The Legend of the Condor Heroes. Production The film was said to be caused by the over-budgeting of Wong Kar-wai's Ashes of Time. In order to cover up the cost of the yet unfinished film, the director decided to use the whole cast to shoot a "quick-and-dirty" film for show during the Chinese New Year, a period for Hong Kong film industry to harvest cash. I watched this movie, and I couldn't believe how come those big superstars were willing to play such a silly movie. Until later I found out the reason why. This story is quite entertaining. It's fun to see those big actors acting so silly like that.
