It's '铁血杨家将' or 'Jagged Generals of the Yang Family' (as listed in Wikipedia). It's a 1984 Taiwan drama series.

Well, I had thought of this series too due to David's blue clothes, but the Chinese titles you mention doesn't match the title of the picture I posted, unless each episode has its own title ?
Do you know who is the woman in black shown in the above clip ?
Thanks for the information, anyway.

Thanks to both of you for the confirmation. No, I got the dvds a while ago, but Haven't had time to watch it as yet, but from what I saw while testing the discs and watching this clip, it's a very good one.
Welcome to another David Chiang's fan !!

Do you know who is the woman in black shown in the above clip ? According to the credits, the name of the actress who acted as Princess Chai is 吕海琴. Don't try googling her-not much info. My eyes are seeing another woman now...sigh! Sorry! Maybe will see the same/another woman tomorrow...

As I first thought, it appears that this series isn't Jagged Yang Warriors at all. David Chiang plays two characters in it : one with a moustache and later a kind of scar on the right cheek, and one without moustache and wearing the blue clothes one can see in the above clip. I found another clip from the same series : And here is another picture with Paul Chang Chung at the first plan, and David Chiang with mooustache at his left hand : Sorry, I'm not very keen on adding attachment : first, I didn't find how to add it in the quick reply, and now, I added it at the beginning of the post instead of the end !!!

It seems that all the online series of Jagged Yang Warriors have been pulled offline besides the 1st episode (on Iqiyi). David Chiang or the other characters in the videos didn't show up in the episode so its hard to tell. The opening and ending theme of Jagged Yang Warriors is like this: www.iqiyi.com/w_19rtabsgv1.htmlIt SEEMS that the beggar character is in the opening theme, but he's using a weapon and the cameo is too short to confirm. 1st episode: www.iqiyi.com/w_19rrsdxqax.htmlI couldn't find any information on whether the series was in a short story format (as in the opening post). Where did you get your screenshots from?

The screenshots come from our friend rdenn and also there is an uploader on youtube called who uploaded a longer clip. rdenn says that it can't be Jagge Yangs Warriors because Chang Shan doesn't play in it... As I said, I have Jagged Yang Warriors, and I don't remember to have seen david chiang wearing a moustache in it, nor did I see this woman in black or the scarface beggar but I may be mistaken.
In the clip of the first episode you show, unless I'm mistaken, Paul Chang Chung seems to play Yang Ye, his hair and his eyebrows are grey and he looks older than in the clip I show, in which he seems to play a bad guy...

I put the videos on some forums to see whether anyone knows.
The fighting scenes seem so '80s Taiwanese-ish it seems to be unlikely that it was made somewhere else (Someone mentioned another series in the Youtube link, but that series is a Singapore production.) A big name like David Chiang filming in Taiwan should likely leave more trace and mentioning on the internet. This is a big paradox. Does rdenn have any other title screenshots to show?
