What do you think of the vocals of Hawick Lau 劉愷威? I feel there is a certain richness in his voice.
Is he not the son of Liu Dan 刘丹 ?

I was impressed also by his control of emotions. I don't like singing that is entirely about showing off vocal techniques and contains no emotions.

Can't stop listening to this awesome song. Too bad the sound quality is not that great. I went to see Hanggai concert last month, in a theatre that has a very awesome acoustic. It was really great!

I don't know how many people still remember Dao Lang (刀郎), who has disappeared from the radar for the past 10 years. Lately, he released an album where the song Raksha Haishi 羅剎海市 has gone viral. It has been estimated that it has been played over 15 billion times (probably broken by now) and will probably enter the Guinness Book of Records for the most played song on the internet.
They lyrics are based on a story from Pu Songling's Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio, about a country with inverted aesthetic norms, where ugliness is upheld as the ultimate "beauty". The song is obviously a satire, but on whom? People say it is about the singers who has belittled Dao Lang in the past like Na Ying and Wang Feng, but I thought the web can be cast even wider.

LOL, it's not about Na Ying and those who belittled him. It's more about how's he's talking about the current social phenomenon, in which our current society considers the pursuit of fame, fortune, and status to be very common. But then forget to seek the beauty and purity of our hearts, which cannot be deceived by material things. But it's interesting to know that some people interpreted it as a satire against Na Ying, Wang Feng, etc. In the Chinese entertainment industry, these two persons are known as dirty bosses in the music industry. Especially Na Ying who often mocked people and her big mouth. I honestly had never known her before 2020 since I didn't really watch TV. I only knew her after I saw the program 我们的歌 session 1 with Ayanga. In which in the program, Na Ying was partnered with Xiao Zhan. She seemed to be very attentive and nice to Xiao Zhan in the program - that she as a senior woman even wiped Xiao Zhan's sweat on his forehead with her hand - something that made a lot of people raise their eyebrows. It's so obvious that she tried to use XZ to boost her popularity among the young audience. Then after Xiao Zhan's scandal in 2020 broke, then in sudden she just completely avoided Xiao Zhan - which made netizens more convinced about her hypocrisy and harsh treatment to the young singers. And as XZ's fans are known as diehard and harsh fans...many of them started to hate Na Ying and then posted many things of many rude things she did in the past, that were either forgotten, not in the spotlight, or even those who were not in the news because she had a 'powerful' husband who protects her. For example, her rudeness who forced Lin Zhiling who had an allergy to alcohol to drink alcohol. As a result, Lin immediately had to be taken to the hospital...and Na Ying just took it as a joke. No apology at all. So now with the satirical lyrics of Dao Lang, I guess...many people surely want to interpret it as a direct slap to Na Ying.

Faye Wong and Na Ying are besties...LOL. Although Faye Wong was great in her early years, but then she's also going nowhere although she still has a lot of huge fans. And she can't even do live singing right now. Therefore if she's smart enough, it will be better for her to remain in status quo and be a legend rather than make a comeback. Na Ying still has a powerful husband, and no matter how mediocre she is, she still will be around as long as her husband still has the influence.
