Stormriders is definitely a story with a pugilistic background but sometimes mythical beasts and supernatural demons show up. No Chinese gods though. So is it wuxia or xianxia?

I guess the lines are blurred and probably the narrative is still wuxia based despite some supernatural stuff going on: Swords "kneeling" at Nameless The "Maha Unlimited" (摩訶無量) resulting from Wind and Cloud cooperating. Characters who live like....hundreds of years(?) and is explained away based on some martial art. The Sword Saint's "Sword 23" freezing time.
And so on.
A lot of extreme, physic defying effects in the comic result from extreme levels of martial arts, so I guess it could be considered as wuxia with some initial power level(?) of xianxia?

The Xianxia genre has Taoist elements and Stormriders predates it. It emerged from the Mainland Chinese web-novels which borrows from wuxia and Taoist cultivation philosophy, spinning off as a new genre. Stormriders doesn't have so many Taoist elements but it does have supernatural stuff going on.
I would say Huanzhu Louzhu is probably the grand-daddy of the xianxia genre. Contemporary TV series obviously did a lot to popularize the genre, but it's hard to say if the term can be applied to every wuxia movie with supernatural elements.
