Nothing beats these though, and I bet Ouyang Feng would have killed for these melons - and he probably did, knowing his character! And Ouyang Feng probably sought shelter under this type of clay-and-straw huts.

Ouyang Feng was from the White Camel Mountain 白驼山. I don't remember if it's part of Kunlun or Tian Mountains.

These na'an breads are pretty dry and relatively hard. Would taste great when hungry starving. And if only there's a time machine, and Ouyang Feng happened to meet Chefying, he would probably would learn how to make pizza with that na'an bread

In Kashgar (Xinjiang's second largest town) I ate this combination - wanton on na'an bread. The wanton was boiled in soup. So I guess I could make this for Western Poison Ouyang Feng. That is, if he does not poison me first. How did this combination taste? Not so bad. I was hungry.

Meanwhile, the sun burns down relentlessly,... .... casting a shadow of death over everything.

This is a reminder of life that was... .... and try as I might to revive it, I was unsuccessful. After all, my kidneys could only filter that much water at any given time.

While in Xinjiang, China, I checked this bee for tattoos, but there were none. Looks like Xiao Long Nv is not there.... In Xinjiang, the local's features are very un-Han like. So I would venture to guess that Ouyang Feng, the Western Evil, XiDu would have rather non-Han looks. Here is one boy with distinctively non-Asian features... and another..... The people here were laying out tomatoes to be dried in the sun. The tomatoes are sprinkled with some salt, then left out for a couple of days. I tasted some of these tomatoes, and I liked them. And for all I know, they could be the descendants from Wei Xiaobao and his Russian wife. And if so, Wei Xiaobao's wive could have taught the children martial arts, and the training had continued through the generations. And thus it is possible that they are highly skilled in martial arts! I think they could be Roman descendants www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/1541421/Roman-descendants-found-in-China.htmlwww.news.com.au/travel/travel-ideas/tiny-town-of-liqian-moves-to-capitalise-on-legend-it-is-descended-from-lost-roman-legion/story-e6frfqer-1226688062745So Au Yeung Fung could be Roman descendant too.

I believe so yes, because I ate it in a restaurant run by the local Uigers, and patronised by the local Uigers. I believe it was mutton or lamb, but the flavour was not (too) strong. I am not that keen on strong smell of mutton. As a by the by, I had a "kebab" (meat threaded on a skewer and roasted) of sheep's liver, kidney and intestine. It was delicious and did not smell gamey at all.

so now I start to imagine that Ouyang Feng looked like a Roman. Perhaps he looked like those Italian football players. Brown haired, light eyes, tall....with a long curly hair....Uhmm....so East Venom suddenly turned to be a pretty good looking guy to me LOL

Back to the desert from which Western Venom probably came, this is the Taklamakan Desert at dawn. Taklamakan, in the native tongue, roughly means "can enter but cannot leave."* * Suddenly I am reminded of the Eagles song, "Hotel California," ... "You can check-out any time you like, But you can never leave! "

As the sun rises, the heat is relentless. This tree gave no respite. There was some welcomed life amid this desolation.....

There is a highway running across the Taklamakan Desert now, and to prevent the desertification of the highway, plants are grown all along the sides of the road. The plants are watered using ground water pumped up from stations like this, one station every 2 km along the highway. I am not too sure if this is doing the underground water table any good.

The plants attract mosquito-like insects which look like this.... They swarm in and attack relentlessly. I was well and truly bitten, and even my welts have welts! I assure you, they itch like hell.
