Heaven Sword and Dragon Sabre is a strange book to the extend that it is more a two-parter. The first part was all to do with Zhang Wuji's parents and Zhang Wuji's upbringing, which I feel directly affects his actions in the second part. With the innocent upbringing, Zhang was not match for the wiles of both Zhao Min and Zhou Ziruo.

Because I feel there is a direct connection between these two parts, I ma inclined to treat Zhang CuiShan and Yin Susu as protagonists. Had Zhang Wuji grown up in Gu Long's Valley of Evils - E-Ren Gu - from his book The legendary Twins (Jue Dai Shuang Jiao), I am sure Zhang Wuji would have been more than a match for both Zhao Min and Zhou Ziruo.

Hmm, I am not too sure if Yin Susu would have that much of an influence over Zhang Wuji's handling of the girls. By that time, Zhang CuiShan had already made a good woman out of Yin Susu and ruined everything! Spoilsport!
