RIP. It seems he had skin cancer and didn't want to go for treatment at his age. Skin cancer? I think he was a smoker, so I would expect lung or pharyngeal cancer more than skin cancer. RIP, Ni Kuang. I understand he adapted many of Gu Long's works into screenplays for Shaw Brothers back in the 1980's. I watched many of them in my younger days, totally oblivious of Gu Long and Ni Kuang! But those films did stir and instill the martial world in me.

I think he had quit smoking for years now. He overworked himself during his Shaw Brothers days, wrote, drank and smoked a lot. He said he often felt suicidal then.

Not worth the money, no matter how much he was paid!

RIP. It seems he had skin cancer and didn't want to go for treatment at his age. In an older interview he said he's no afraid of death. Going without suffering is the best way. So, I guess treatment to him means prolonging his suffering.

Admin: Thanks The only older generation wuxia author I can think of that is still alive is Wen Rui'an. Even he is a generation later than the others. Anyone else you can think of?

Qin Hong is still alive, though in ailing health. He's in his 80s after all. He recently had heart surgery but still posts on facebook. Tian Ge and Dubao Louzhu are still alive. Shangguan Ding too. Dugu Hong and Xue Yan might still be alive. Haven't heard anything about them passing away at least.
