Yes, it's in your previous posts. One comment says "Finally found a Jagged Yang video.", which is replied by "Jagged Yang? I mistook it as 'White Horse Neighs in the Western Wind'"
White Horse Neighs in the Western Wind is the Singaporean series I mentioned (a lot of websites mistake it as a Taiwanese production) Some websites give the English title "The Return of Swords Lady Riding West on White Horse '82".
What about the pictures in the thread? Are they from videos or just images from websites? Such as the one with "九龍燈" and the one with Chiang standing with other characters?
Note that the one with "九龍燈" says "Episode 4 (Finale)"...perhaps its also an independent production? I did do some searching on "九龍燈", and found that it was the title of a 1994 Wuxia novel. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything related to television or David Chiang.
Here's the opening theme for "The Return of Swords Lady Riding West on White Horse '82"

Ok wait....according to the summary of "九龍燈" there is a beggar and an elder lady involved in the final showdown, and a mentioning of 9 "Dragon Warriors". The main character's father is also involved in this story, which fits the "character's father is the same actor" often used in filming.
Also while the publication date is 1994, it is the date of its publication in China, not Taiwan. The author stopped writing in 1986.....
Still can't find any info on the tv series itself though.

I have White horse neighs in the Western Wind, but I don't think that Paul Chang Chung plays in it, and the credits don't show any of the scenes shown in 9 Dragon Warriors. It would be great to find this series.
The comments on youtube are both mistakes...

I think that the screenshot with the title and the one with the warriors lead by David Chiang are form videos rdenn found or...oh,yes, wait a moment, it seems to me that he told me that it's a friend of his who had given him the only episode he had of this series and that they were both looking for the whole series.

I suspect this is one of those things only some older people know. And if the net lacks information on such an adaption, probably the whole series is in some Asian grocery store's private rental collection, or someone's hard drive waiting to be discovered. Again, quite strange considering Chiang's fame.

By the way, reinafu, is there a credit scene in the videos you've got? Since now it is likely we know which story this series is based on, at least we could identify the actress in the scene. Also there might be a mentioning of what company/studio filmed this series. The original author, Chin Hong (who also wrote "The Avenging Eagle") is still alive and active on Facebook. I sent him the links but unfortunately he didn't comment on them. Judging from his posts on FB and his old blog it seems unlikely he knows about this series. And from his detailed posts on his experiences he's probably not amnesiac. This is becoming too bizarre, like the video came from some alternate past. Maybe David Chiang himself knows something.

Well, if you know a way to contact David Chiang and ask him about the seires, it would be GREAT !!

And in addition to that, it's now really obvious that this series has nothing to do with Jagged Yang Warriors...

Hi i have uploaded the full intro on my channel here is the intro Thanks ALOT. I'll post this to Chin Hong's FB and see if he could still stay cool or burst into temper and rant about filmmakers using his works without permission (He's been fanatically posting about politics, in a very criticizing mood, it seems, for awhile ) This is definitely based on the novel of the same name (九龍燈, "Nine Dragon Lanterns"). I'll put the summary here so you guys can see the similarities: So besides the title, it can be seen how the plot is consistent with the videos. I guess the video version altered the part where the "Bald Dragon" is the final bad guy and changed it to whoever Chang Chung is acting. The video version also seems to put some emphasis on the father's backstory so we see quite a few mustached David Chiang scenes.

From Chin Hong: "I didn't know that 'The Nine Dragon Lanterns' was filmed. See how these people milk me? I'm so afraid on acquainting people these days. They can do whatever they want." And while I'm posting this, he posted a short rant on how he's the most exploited Taiwanese wuxia writer, but after these years he has kind of made peace with this fact. Anyways, I was hoping that Chin would be able to at least give some hints on where to find the whole film. Based on the current situation, of course he doesn't know. Paul Chang has passed away. David Chiang's weibo is inactive. Is there anything like an international fan club? Does he even answer fan mail? I seem to see either Ban Tie Xiang or Long Tian Xiang with his manly beard in the video, but neither of them seem reachable. I can't recognize the other actors/actresses (there seem like a couple or three female leads?) My personal wild hypothesis is that the Nine Dragon Lanterns was filmed probably at the same time as the Jagged Yang Warriors, maybe even by the same production team, which explains why David Chiang's blue shirt character looks similar, as well as Chang Chung being able to participate. For some reason no one asked for Chin Hong's consent or probably asked the wrong person (the concept of copyright in Taiwan was messy those days). Since the Era Group (which filmed "Jagged Yang Warriors") is quite a big corporation nowadays, I guess it's a dead end for me to even test this theory. I'll keep in mind to see if anyone salvaged anything from local video rental stores (if a direct video version even existed).
